Virgin - Advanced passenger information

When I log into my booking on the virgin site it brings up each passenger on our booking individually not as a list, so when I try to put the childrens details in for the advanced passenger info such as passport numbers etc , it states that info cannot be updated as individual a child and adult has to be the lead name. But I cannot do that as we are all listed separately.

I thought I would update all the info. to make it easier when we got to Florida.

Any ideas anyone?

As for the advance passenger information, this must be given to the airline before you fly, in this case Virgin Atlantic, call reservations and customer services 01293 473000

You will also have to complete ESTA at least 72 hours before you fly If you fail to complete this you are more than likely to be refused entry to the USA

Currently you still have to complete the green form as well, so this means 3 lots of details provided, ESTA, green form and advance passenger information.

Hi thanks for replying,

I have completed ESTA for us all already and the advanced information for myself and my husband online so I will call them as suggested and add the children.

I thought I was missing something but it must have to be done via the call centre.

I also tried to pre book seats online but it does not give me the option for that either but Virgin's helpline advised me to do it that way!
 
Re API, I know about this, when we booked with VH last year for this year, my son was left off by mistake, by VH, So he has his own reservation, and as you say you go around in circles as the child is not an adult and there are no adults the system will not allow.

I am told when you complete online checkin it will allow you to add any other reservation to the first one and then you can complete.

I cannot see why VH couldnt just add the person on, as it was their mistake. Its caused a lot of issues.
 

Thanks for your response, When we last flew Virgin two years ago we did twilight checkin , so have not checked in on line before and not sure if I can combine the both or if you checkin online can you not use twilight option?
 
Ignore me just re read my last post. I mean't to say that Virgin said I was able to pre book seats from MY booking online but have not been able to.
 
The book your seats option only comes up if there are available seats left. So many are released, I think it is something like 336 days prior to your flight and then so many 24 hours before.

We have found we couldn't pre book seats a few times but then had no problems actually at the airport getting seats together. The booking of the seats is just a request anyway, they can change it.

The information I posted above came directly from Virgin holidays staff, that at online check in you can add any resveration together then to API.

And you can complete online check in early in the day 24 hours pre flight and then do twilight check in if you wish.

I managed to phone Virgin today and got them to add the children's API info. so at least that is another thing done.
