Hiya Guys

I know there are a few of you waiting to reserve your seats for the new Virgin A330 Airbus.

Having checked several times a day since booking our flights over a week ago the Seating Plan is now available on line to reserve your seats :thumbsup2

Good luck in getting the seats your wanting :wizard:

Almost posted this morning but I was waiting until I had checked the system this afternoon. I have been reading elsewhere the website is not accepting your choice, so have you reserved OK?

I had the chance of coming back on a new A330 to Gatwick but chose the old 747 - mainly becasue it's my first trip flying PE and want to sit in the "bubble" :)

I've 'reserved' ours this morning for Easter and Aug, we are flying PE and looking at the cabin, I can't say I really prefer any particular seats above others :confused3 so I went for 24 and 25 H & K (we 2 adults and 2 children).....

Anyone have any thoughts as to which seats they would prefer in PE above others???

Ali :goodvibes

After trying all day its eventually let me reserve seats. I had no idea which are best or worst so went for back row (row 26) middle 3 seats. Will keep an eye on Seat Guru, if they show we have chosen poor seats I will try change.

Thankyou so much for letting me know, Iv'e booked 61 A and C there and back at the back of the plane :goodvibes

I've got rows 44 & 45, with my two little 'uns I need to be close to the loo! :rotfl:

I hope that they stay the same, but tbh it's only a few hours so as long as we are together I don't really care where we sit! I can't really understand why people get so uptight about a particular seat! :confused3

Wayne, how accurate is Seat Guru? I only ask because when I chose my seats (not VA next year) I went to check there first, but the layout of the aircraft is slightly different on SG than on the airline's own website :confused3 DD doesn't want to be over the wing and the seats I chose when I booked are not, but on SG they are. I have triple checked that I have the right aircraft selected.

Not sure, don't really use it that much, its only because its a new plane we are flying on I had a look.
I don't really care too much about what it says, our fave seats on the 747 are row 48 (booked outbound for August) yet SG gives a warning for recline http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Vi.../Virgin_Atlantic_Airways_Boeing_747-400_4.php

Hubby been trying to book seats all day, finally managed about an hour ago and he managed to book seats for our friends next to us.

Hi,

I logged on to my booking on VA yesterday and our seats that I booked are showing on the 747 layout. We are due to fly out towards the end of August next year.

Are they only doing some flights from Manchester?

thanks

Nicci

2 flights a day from MAN, 1 will be the 747, other is the new A330.
We fly out on 747 in economy, return on A330 in PE.

Thanks for the thread :thumbsup2

Our seats now booked! How exciting.

In 229 days time we should be just about ready to take off! :cool1:

Thanks Wayne, we fly in the afternoon flight and coming back in the evening about 8 pm so maybe just the 747's for us.

Ah thanks for that, I was wondering why our outbound still showed 747! That'd be because that's what we're flying on! Is it just my imagination or is the new A330 a lot smaller? We're doing exactly the same as you so won't be able to compare the seats in economy!

The new A330's can seat up to 270 passengers.
The 747's upto 440 I believe depending on the configuration.
