Virgin 747 refurbs?????

I've been searching the net without much luck

Anyone no how many 747's have been done & which ones are left????

With 3 weeks to go our flights are still showing 747s both ways & am dreading being stuck with an old one (which will just be my luck )

Hi, the last one (Ruby Tuesday) is being re furbed now and is expected to be back early December. That will leave just one plane that is not going to be re furbed - Virginia Plain. That aircraft's lease will be up in February so they are not doing any work on her. ( Even though she's pretty rough apparently!)

We are going 4 weeks tommorrow, and like you we are praying we don't get the old girl! I just want a re furb for the IFE

We fly Dec 6th and have booked our seats on Virgin VS27. This is one of the new planes so can't wait to try it out. On the return we have the older plane.

If your able to book economy upstairs your on the new refurb we just flew back yesterday on hot lips and was nice and new though it was showing old style seats 5 days before my return flight and then changed to newer plane 3 days before we were leaving

Flew bCk this morning on hot lips and was fab, flew out on pretty woman and upstairs is so worth getting, its so quiet up there

What are the rows like upstairs, what's the difference. Why would you recommend them? Just checking incase we are able to get them.

Glad o hear some people are having some good trips upstairs! Heard too many bad reviews of the seats etc in economy!
