The Dis Ladies Only Trip Group is considering a VIP tour for our trip in April. However, many of the ladies in our group want to know what all is offered with the tour and know about others' experiences.

I remember reading a detailed report from Bradk about his experience with VIP and thought it would be helpful. Brad, can you either resurrect that old trip report or just briefly re-describe the highlights of the tour?

Anyone else who has done the tour please chime in as well. I already know 100% that I want to do it. We just have some others that need convincing. ;)

well, bottom line, for a group of 10 (or near that) and $300, it should be a no brainer in my opinion. half the cost of walk in walts footsteps.

anyway, you're basically getting a guide who's knowledgeable about the parks and touring and can basically provide you with whatever you're hoping to get. in addition, the people at the VIP tour line set me up for priority viewing for F! (second balcony at the time), DEP, POD, Remember and BPB. could have done aladdin, etc., but didn't want to. none of those were during my VIP tour or possibly even on the same day.

i really just had my guide fill me up with facts i didn't know and she let me copy stuff out of her castmember reference guide. she pointed out things like fess parker's window, walt's second window, the monsonto house of the future foundation.. rode the lilly belle around the park (which back then meant something :) ), saw the asimo show, got me into a couple of character meet & greets, etc.

Thanks Brad, we appreciate your help:)
I know I want to do it!

Please let us know how and what things were after your experience. We are thinking about doing the VIP tour in August if we can get there.

I'd love to know the details if you decide to do the tour. DH and I are going to do a VIP tour in August so would love to hear more reports.
Quick question, if you book the tour do they get in contact with you before hand to ask what your preferences are and what you would like to see/do, or do you just sort that out with the tour guide when you meet them?

for me, i made all the vip viewing arrangements with the VIP tour services over the phone pretty much as soon as I booked it.

i don't recall ever telling anyone in advance what i wanted from the tour, but i would have been pretty vague anyway. i do remember the guide meeting me and handing me a bunch of FPs (including a couple for soarin') because she 'wasn't sure what i'd be interested in'

so it might be something to bring up when booking the tour if it's important

We had a group book the VIP tour a while ago. The tour guide was great. She asked us what we wanted covered as far as trivia, going in the Lobby of Club 33, etc, Like Brad said I booked the VIP seating for the shows, parades, Fanatasmic! ahead of time by calling the VIP tour phone number. She also went and got fast passes for us while we stood in line for rides. And set up for us to have a little bit of private time to get a picture with Mickey Mouse at his house in Toontown. It is definitely worth it.

Sorry, I seem to be hijacking the thread with more questions!

How far in advance can you book the tour?
