Does anyone know anything about this, or has anyone used it before?

I started another thread yesterday in Theme Parks but it moved to the bottom really fast so I thought this might be a more appropriate forum.

Someone in Theme Parks mentioned that they don't escort you to the front of the line, but they make sure you use your time most efficiently.

I know the cost is extravagant ($95/hour if you're staying onsite - is this right?) but in one of the Disney books I read, the author mentioned that because you could in theory get more done in less time it may come out to be a good choice. (For example, you use the tour guide 6 hours a day but only stay 2 nights instead of 5)...do you think this makes any sense?

Any opinions/info would be welcome! :)

I've used this service when arranging a trip for my boss and her family. I don't recall the price per hour, but its not alot of money and you could travel with a group up to 8. It is true that you are not escorted to the front of the line, but moved around the park efficiently to see & do more. There is a VIP section to view parades and fireworks. I made PS thru VIP Services, transportation arrangements, arranged for family birthday party, etc.

I hope I don't get in trouble, and if it is wrong or not to be shared, then I am sorry.
Yes, there are VIP guides in the parks. I haven't used them before or knew of anyone who had, but Tour Guide Mike used to be a Disney VIP tour guide, and then started his own VIP service called Mike's VIPs...if you go to www.tourguidemike.com, it will give a link to get there with the info of how much it costs, etc. He also has a itinerary planning program where you can get his expert advice, customize it, and plan it yourself! Yes, I am a subscriber, and I love it! I would either contact Disney, or a Vip tourguide service to get specific info though....HTH

We saw an older (65ish) couple with a VIP this last trip. We were walking behind them out of Adventureland and you couldn't help but overhear their conversation.

woman--"I think I would like to sit and relax a while"

disney guide---"Okay. Just ahead on the right are a couple of benches that are fairly shaded. How about that?"

man---"No, let's sit inside somewhere and have a drink"

disney guide---"Very well. There is a counter service restaurant this way; once we are there, I will get your fastpasses for the Jungle Cruise while you relax and enjoy your drinks. How does that sound?"

It made me want a VIP tour!!!

I have a freind who gives these tours he works guest services at the MK.

Not very expensive? I heard it was a bit extravagant..

Do you think it could save enough time where you could stay less nights and make up for the difference?

I think it is a nice idea but if you read up before you go you could save the $95 an hour. I wouldn't think it could cut days off your visit though.
