VIP (not FP) parade viewing spot

I am not a celebrity ;) it's a pixie dust thing. I hadn't expected it, but am very happy and grateful for this.

Looking forward to it, it will be a nice surprise for my co-traveller to be able to show up short before it starts, in the shade and on a bench. And being so close! :)

Be advised and aware, not all "VIP" parade viewing is at Liberty Bridge viewing. There is one (and sometimes 2) areas located by the Firehouse in Town Sq., no seating, that are also used for reserved viewing areas. Guest's on "the list" can be located in any of these 2 or 3 areas. Depends on how many "reservations there are for that day as to how many are set up.

Thanks for the inside information! The e-mail says the bridge, so for now I'm going by your first location description. Probably/hopefully not many VIPs that day ;-) We'll see what happens.

here's some of the pics

From reading the responses I gather that you can not pay to get to sit in this area. Is anyone willing to share how or why they were given this privilege? Pixie dust is mentioned. Why do you think you received this pixie dust? It does not sound like any of you were randomly selected. The only thing other than celebrity that I can come up with is maybe Make A Wish.

I assume these are guest recovery situations, where Disney made a boo-boo egregious enough to merit a little VIP treatment to help satisfy the slighted guest.

I'll say this, it pays to be kind to other people you never know who may be watching pixiedust:
This is nice to hear. I am not trying to bother you because it seems that everyone involved feels the need to keep this secret. But on the other hand I can imagine WDW where a large number of guests are aware of rewards being handed out for niceness. The behavior and atmosphere would be so pleasant with guests trying to outdo each other with looking out for others instead of rushing to get ahead. I can dream can't I.

Disneyworld is made of dreams, so keep dreaming! Wh knows, maybe a hundred years from now, being nice will be the norm ;) (wouldn't that make one interesting scifi movie?)

I do not want to share too many details as you have several people on the boards with 'who are you to deserve this and I demand to get what she has!'-attitude.

But in the end it is pixie dust, trying to be nice to another and it was seen by the right CM with the right mindset at the right time.

Im not special in any way, just lucky.

Mine wasn't pixie dust. I paid for a tour guide through Guest Relations and the parade seating was part of that. It was very, very expensive but we really enjoyed our day and we will be doing it again on our November trip.

If you don't mind me asking, what is the cost of this VIP viewing area? Is it per person or is it priced as a group?
VIP tour is 6 hours minimum and is $400 per hours per group for groups up to 10. I am thinking the reserved area is for them as well.
