So I bought y first vinylmation today at MK. I bought a box from the Toy Story collection cause they are just so darn cute! I picked the box from the top left of the package. And I got..... Evil Dr. Porkchop - the mystery "chaser". Only I would pick the mystery box without actually knowing what I was getting in to. I actually didn't even realize it until I got him out of his box at home and asked my husband why Hamm had on a top hat!

So what should I do? Keep him? Sell him? He is going on eBay for about $35-40!

And the worst part is - I want another one!

I don't know what a "chaser" is (thank goodness) but if it were me? I would keep him. He sounds cool! I don't want to start Vinylmation because I know I would want the ones that are hard to get, if happened to get one of those by chance, I know I'd keep him. And maybe next year he'll be going for $135 on ebay.

Sell it!
And get out quick, while you can!

It doesnt matter what you do now because you have the bug!

1. You sell it - next time you walk past one of those boxes you'll be saying to yourself "hmmm, wonder if I could get one of those again"

2. Keep it - next time you walk past one of those boxes you'll be saying to yourself "hmmm, wonder if I could get one of those again"

..... see the pattern here!

Coming from a Vinymation collector:

Keep it if you like it. Sell it if you don't care for it and buy some that you like. There are so many Vinyls out there now to chose from you may as well collect the ones that you are attracted to, not the ones that you think might be worth something.

It's true though, if you hold on to it for a while, the value might go up even further.

They are a fun collectable. My husband and I can't wait to go back to WDW and visit the D Street Vinyl store.

I've got no BIG souvies in mind for the next trip, but I was going to look for a Tron pin, maybe one or two of those 3-pack Collectable bags. And now Vinylmation ??? Oh well, I'm a geek. Gotta decorate the cube with something. Wonder what series will catch my eye... :confused3

Keep it! I started collecting in May when I bought "just one." It ended up being the mystery Kermit from the Muppets Collection and I just couldn't stop after that. Kermit actually got up to over $85 at one point on eBay but I'm glad I kept him. I brought him into the office for awhile and now have him (and Piggy, Fozzie, Waldorf and Statler) prominently displayed. They bring a smile to my face and fond memories of my hunt for more on the trip. They might cost just under $10 but they are really priceless. Welcome to the insanity club.
