I just found this classic photo of me with my parents and uncle when I was six months old in a place where you could take pictures by the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. I looked it up and I think it isn't there any more, but it would have been cool to get a picture with my family if it was still there! Anybody remember this place?

I HAVE ONE TOO!!!! I was about 5-7 I think!!!! I'll have to figure out how to post our pic too LOL!!! I miss stuff like this in the parks......

Haha, you're not the only people that still wish it was there. Currently, The Pirates League is in that location and at least one Guest a day would ask us about the old portraits.

The photo spot was closed over 10 years ago, since then it was a character location, a break room, and a merchandise stock room... quite a history for a location most people walk right by.

They used to have one on Main Street where you could dress in Victorian costume for photos. I have a few of those lying around the house. If I remember correctly, they also had one at DTD, but I don't know what type of costumes they used there.

We have that pic from a few trips - prob from about 25 years ago - they were great and so much fun to do. There was more than one scene to choose from - one I have of DDs is around a big treasure chest and they are holding up necklaces, etc with a different pirate dummy. Later they started adding an overlay of the characters on them - kind of like they do the borders now on photopass- we didn't like that as much. Then they closed it.:sad1: DSis also has one of her family in the Victorian costumes - looks like they are standing at the back of a train. Fun old memories.:thumbsup2

That's super cool! I do wish they had stuff like that, too. I guess you could always do the Pirates league :)

BTW- your family seems to wear their costumes super well- maybe they were pirates in a past life :)

Ours is with Blackbeard with ribbons in his beard, at the wheel of the ship with us dressed as wenches. My sis and I both had a great hats like Penelope Cruz had in the latest Pirates movie and also a pistol and sword. GREAT photo op! The only one we ever bought at WDW.

Anyone else have Blackbeard?
