Am I the only one that has started saving up my little packets to take with me? Do they offer it in resurants? And last am I going to get looked at like I have three heads when I put it on my fries?
LOL We just returned from South Carolina and we always save up packets of vinegar for every trip to the US as they really do look at you like you have three heads when you ask for it!
The only time we've ever found vinegar was in some of the cafeteria's in WDW. But it was Malt vinegar only which was ok by us! We always take a zip lock bag filled with packages we've saved from McDonald's,Harvey's Wendy's etc.We can't stand our fries without it!
We always ask in restaurants. In the past, the wait staff would look at us like we were from another planet.....now they say " you must be from Canada". Well at least they are catching on. Still - no vinegar!!
Yes, you'll definitely need to take your own! I don't understand why they don't "get" that vinegar is an "acceptable condiment" for french fries I don't like Malt Vinegar so I always stock up from McD's just before we go. I like the ziploc baggie idea ... had one split open in my purse once.
This really made me giggle You are so right.....I always get the strangest looks when I ask for white vingear. I also have started saving packets from the fast food places to bring on my trip this time.
We went to Steak & Shake in Cocoa Beach and they had white vinegar in bottles shaker bottles no less for us. When my girls asked for it they asked what kind we were after and brought it out. Try explaining ketchup chips they really don't understand that one but once they try them they love them.
The little packets of vinegar are also great for giving the table a quick wipe if you think the cloth that wiped the table previously wasn't too clean. In fast food places, I always take some serviettes and vinegar and give the table a quick swipe.
We took our own last year but were pleasantly surprised to see that most places had it. The restaurant we ate at in Animal Kingdom had it (FlameTree BBQ, I think it was called) and SeaWorld also had white vinegar.
