If one likes to meet villains, I disagree with this portion.

Agreed. Then I would posit that they would be in the small group I mentioned who would no longer see the value of a regular MNSSHP ticket. But I could be completely wrong!

Ok. You can meet him on any regular day, though. A reduction, yes, if that's the case. But significant to the value of a MNSSHP ticket?

Understood. Just trying to be clear on what the actual changes are from last year:

- 4 princes gone for EVERYONE
- 2 villains now ONLY on stage for MNSSHP tix guests - 1 of them meet-able at the soirée
- some now at dance party but NOT guaranteed to be posing for photos at all -- not "meet-able" in traditional sense


I'd suspect the pool of people who now think the MNSSHP ticket they bought isn't worth it is extremely small. That's different than saying they'll all be thrilled that some things are removed/changed.

I would have been much happier if they kept the princes or had all villains meet-able. But this is far from a disaster or a significant reduction in value of a MNSSHP ticket -- IMHO.

My understanding is that Maleficent and Evil Queen used to be meetable at the Mix and Mingle but now are exclusive to the Soiree.

There could be others, but I have not seen a complete list of who to expect at the dance party. And to be honest, I could probably add all the dance party attendees to the list with an asterisk. It is encouraging that some say they will stop for a quick photo, but I'll have to see how that goes on busier party nights.

I don't understand why you keep stating that 2 villains are only on stage, and 1 is only at the soiree. Pete had pics of Maleficent and the Evil Queen at the soiree. They are not available to meet anywhere else. The hag from snow white is meeting in the park, but not the evil queen.

And while *you* may not find this to be a significant reduction in value, those who go to parties specifically for the characters would. .

I don't understand why you keep saying 2 villains ONLY on stage, 1 of them meetable. I've seen pictures of the Evil Queen and Maleficent at the Soiree. Aren't they both on stage? Or was the Evil Queen not? Last year was my first MNSSHP, and so I've only seen the Mix and Mingle show once.

I think what everyone is so upset about, or at least what I'm upset about is the fact the Evil Queen and Maleficent were supposed to be available in Princess Fairytale Hall. This was announced just a few weeks ago! Then they decide to make them available to only people who are paying $100/person at the Soiree? Not cool. To me, it seems extremely disorganized to be making such big changes with just a few weeks until the parties start, and it seems greedy to take away one of the most popular villains. At least adding the Hag was a good move.

I was very disappointed with the dangling carrot. Then the now you have it now you don't. Not having the princes made it pointless to visit the princesses for us. At least Tianna ' s gazebo was decorated for fall. At least I had that disappointment beforehand and was prepared. All in all, the party was much better than I expected. We've never had a relaxing mnsshp. So that was nice for a change. Abs we went without any plan. Just did what didn't have a wait and it actually worked.

Yeah. The disappointment of not meeting the princes stuff, but was offset by the villains meeting with the princesses. Then they took that away.

The whole soirée thing just really feels kind of underhanded to me personally. But, we've decided to keep both days of party tickets. With the timeline, the soirée almost completely obliterates any chance of just enjoying the party itself, so we will use those one day for that.

Still not happy about it, but at the end of the trip I'll be glad that we did it I'm sure. Continuously dropping large chunks of money on a whim is just something that gives me hives lol.

No, Hook is not meetable in the parks, unless you happen to catch him at Characterpalooza. Just like the Evil Queen. Too hit or miss to count IMO though.
