Villians Sinister Soirée

I am sure they do not want to commit to what villians will be at the party. This way they can mix it up as needed and nobody can demand their money back when Maleficient isnt there. I don't blame Disney.

By now I'm really wondering how many seatings they have. I don't want to be rushed in and out of CRT within half an hour I'm going September 26th and got 11:25 while many others got 10:30, 11:15 or 11:45. Maybe they do it just like with the Wishes dessert party...no matter what time you get the whole party (or for 2 seatings 2 partys) still starts at the same time. I would really like to now what the earliest check in time is...all of this seems a little odd.

It's one seating per event, they just stagger the arrival times so they don't have 75+ people all at the podium at once. arrival times start at 9:55 for the 10:15 party and they go in five minute intervals, then they start at 11:25 for the 11:45 party. That gives them 20 minutes to get everyone seated before the event starts.

What the wording changes, along with the addition of second seatings, tell me is that Disney isn't sure what they're doing with the event quite yet, and that they've sold more soiree tickets than they expected to when they announced it.

Hi all - hubby and I decided to get tickets to this event. I'm not sure if this has been said but you can call 407-WDW-DINE instead of the special events phone number. I called the special events number, hung up when it said greater than 30 minute wait and was put right through with the dining number and they're able to make reservations. I hope that helps someone!

It kind of sounds like they are scrambling. I don't know that this bodes well for the first few weeks of parties. I wonder if they have received complaints?

So I just noticed in the disney parks blog post about the party that the part about meeting maleficent and the evil queen with their princesses is gone now. And also there's this in the comments:

"Does this mean that Rapunzel and Cinderella won’t be at the party?

He also said Frollo should be at Club Villain and confirmed there will be no "Mingle" after the mix and mingle.

Wow- 6 days later they remove a major announcement from an official blog, and I also noticed some of the answers to the questions regarding it were removed as well? I'm feeling sorry for the people going to and trying to plan their strategy for the 1st couple of parties. I wonder if Maleficent and the Evil Queen are meeting elsewhere, or if their meet and greets have been entirely removed? With the Malfeficent movie coming out this year, and all the Maleficent costumes I bet are being worn, it isn't going to go over well if she isn't available to meet outside of the soiree! Right now I am really glad we have the soiree booked and at least the option to go if we don't cancel because DD is one of the ones going as young Maleficent due to the movie, and Maleficent is her No. 1 priority to meet at the party this year.

It makes me wonder if they had lots of complaints from the parents of littles about:

1. their kids wanting to meet the Princesses, but not the villians with them and being scared of the villians (DD when she was little would not have wanted the villians with the Princesses- in fact at DL we saw the Evil Queen meeting with Snow White once and DD wanted to rescue her)

2. their little kids wanting to meet just the Princesses, and their concern that the lines would be huge because the Villians are there with them who they don't even care about

My soirée time says exactly 10:15.....I wonder if I can check in earlier? I wonder how fast wdi dill bed cleared our? If someone gets a 9:55 seat do they have to leave at 10:55. Us still 11:25? I think we should get at least son hour, I soldo hope it'd not a mess and the villains tour orderly yo tables like a character meal.

My husband booked us for 11:45 10/26 and we got 11:25pm arrival time. I didn't want to miss any time in the regular party so I just called dining and they changed my arrival time to 11:45pm. Cutting it close but I think it will all be staggered like the regular meals at the royal table are.

Just called to add the soirée for the 12 of sept. Called twice I was told it was sold out? At least for a party of 2. I tried 2 different times.

The parade route cannot be seen from CRT at all. That makes it seem possible to me.

I booked 2 for 10/3 when it said there was just one seating that day. Now there is a later one? What are the benefits to later? Longer party hours and an empty park afterwards? Being inside the castle when the çlock strikes 12? I am excited for the reviews.

Me either. Do we have a confirmed DIS'er going the first day or two, especially the two different times?

I originally said no way I would do this, too much money. But then the more I thought about it, the convenience it provides to relax during the party made it more enticing. That and I didn't have to pay for DS2 took a hint of the sting out of the price (and cancelling the Frozen Premium Package made it ONLY an extra $123...or at least that's what Im going to tell DW when I break it to her that I reserved this.)

Now to just keep the DS's awake long enough for this...
