Villians Sinister Soirée

Me either. Do we have a confirmed DIS'er going the first day or two, especially the two different times? I originally said no way I would do this, too much money. But then the more I thought about it, the convenience it provides to relax during the party made it more enticing. That and I didn't have to pay for DS2 took a hint of the sting out of the price (and cancelling the Frozen Premium Package made it ONLY an extra $123...or at least that's what Im going to tell DW when I break it to her that I reserved this.) Now to just keep the DS's awake long enough for this...

I'll be at the second seating of the dessert party on the first night.

So I just noticed in the disney parks blog post about the party that the part about meeting maleficent and the evil queen with their princesses is gone now. And also there's this in the comments:

"Does this mean that Rapunzel and Cinderella won’t be at the party? :(

Shawn Slater on August 28th, 2014 at 11:05 am

Amber – You will be able to find them inside Princess Fairytale Hall."

He also said Frollo should be at Club Villain and confirmed there will be no "Mingle" after the mix and mingle.

Very Interesting...

Yes, very interesting! I can't believe they removed information and comments from their official blog. I really want to be done planning and relax before our trip, but Disney is constantly changing things that affect my plans. I feel like if I don't stay plugged in until the last minute, I'll miss something important that will negatively affect my trip :(

The soiree does sound like a lot of fun, but I just wish they'd released the info about it and any changes to MNSSHP before people had to decide on tickets to a party.

I'm confused about people talking about princesses being at the party, do you mean MNSSHP as a whole or the soirée? There was never anything about princesses at the soirée unless I missed something, the reports we about the villains appearing with the princesses at the fairy tail hall or wherever they meet. I assume they changed the plans to move more villains over to the soirée,

I think it's absolutely crazy to pay $99 more to do something that takes you away from the party you already paid extra for .... But that's just me.

After much debate I just booked the villians soriee for 9/26 at 11:30. I did it because my girls really wanted too and its hard to say no. So goodbye $400.00.
The CM on the phone says it should be really neat. And I can always cancel if I change my mind. Heads up only the later seating is available right now for that date if any one is interested.

Lol! Well for us, we're doing MNSSHP twice (we were planning to do that all along). One party will be ride/trick or treating/dance party focused and the other will be parade/character/Hallowishes focused. So this actually makes that parade/ character/Hallowishes focused party even better and easier for us! I definitely don't see it as taking away from the party...for us, it is definitely adding something.

I'll be very interested to hear if the Soiree does allow for relaxation. I know that wasn't the case with the Frozen Premium Package. There was quite a bit of hurry up and wait to get a good spot.

I can't wait to find out what kind of desserts they serve at this one.

I hope you are able to keep the kids awake. We went to 5 MNSSHP last year and ds turned into a pumpkin around 10 at all but one. That one he took a nap until 5:30pm and we only arrived at 7pm. It put us so far behind arriving with the masses at 7pm. But he stayed awake til midnight.

In preparation for Monday night, I've been letting him stay up til 11pm and sleeping in longer in the morning.

We are at first seating on 9/7 I'll share my thoughts/experience after.

That's exactly how I feel about people who stake out a spot and sit there for an hour waiting for a parade or the fireworks, instead of enjoying the park and rides, etc.

But then I remember "not my monkey, not my circus!"

Everyone has their own circus and I'll let them manage their monkeys and the decisions they make about their circus :)

Then I go on my merry way to manage my monkeys and my circus :)

I know I AM crazy but I just booked, after being told it was sold out yesterday, for 9/12. So we are doing it twice. We are only 2 adults. If I feel I accomplished all I wanted to the first night 9/9 and I don't think it worth it. I will just call cancel the 9/12 seating. But its our last night in WDW I wanted something special.

That's a great quote I feel the same way. It's worth extra $$ to me to show up 20 minutes before the parade, we don't care about fire works really so we will be doing something else I am sure and to get a bunch of characters inside with no line!
