Does anyone know if 10/16 has both a late seating and an early seating? I know when I originally scheduled there was only an early seating, but not sure if this is one of the dates where they added a second soirée? Just trying to figure out how early we need to get to the reserved area that night. TIA!

Nope. I've tried multiple times to get a seat, and everytime I've called sold out. I would LOVE to ahve a 11:45 seating that they were scheduling, however I guess maybe a future trip!

How much time is there between parade coming by hub and fireworks? Trying to figure out if we will have time to do something in between them.

Sorry, just to clarify....so there IS a later seating, just no more available seats, or there's not a later seating available?? Thx!

Per Kenny the Pirate's review of the soirée, about 45 minutes from the end of the parade to the start of the fireworks.

Has anyone gotten a diabetic meal at the soirée? Wondering if there were actual desserts or the standard no-sugar-added sorbet and berries.

We went to the Soiree Thur night for the 11:45 party..... It was a wonderful experience for us and we saw and mingled with all the characters. Magnificent interactions with the Villains and totally loved our parade and fireworks view! A cast member held our rope spot while we took the Magic shot with the poison apple. I thought it was fantastic and walking out of MK without crowds was great! Definitely worth a one time experience for us! :thumbsup2

We attended the second Soirée at 11:45 on October 2nd and had an amazing time. The reserved area was worth every penny of the price for the Soirée. It seemed like everyone (and there were two Soirees that night) had ample space at the ropes. It's the first time I have watched a parade or show without someone pushing me from the side, the back, or trying to wiggle in front of me right before the show starts. There were Photopass photographers inside the reserved area for the entire time doing the poisoned apple magic shot and other cast members were dispensing bottles of water. We were able to watch two separate Villains Castle shows, the Boo To You Parade, The Castle projection show and Hallowishes with great unobstructed views. Thanks to a tip from Kenny The Pirate's website I watched the parade head on as it came from frontierlamd and then from the side and had lots of interaction with the characters and people in the parade (and got some great pictures). The Soirée was excellent as well. We got pictures with every villain there including the ones who were just downstairs like The Queen of Hearts. Lady Tremaine realized she had not met everyone on our side of the restaurant and even though she had finished (and told everyone to "get out") she announced she would be staying on to make sure everyone got a picture and to meet with her. Even leaving the castle and Magic Kingdom that night I didn't feel rushed at all. We stopped to take lots of pictures in the empty park and street and every cast member wished us a cheery "good night" or "Happy Halloween" on the way out. There was a bus ready to take everyone back to our resort (they even moved the bus stop from the end up to number one so we wouldn't have to trudge all the way down the line) which I really appreciated after a long night. I would highly recommend this splurge if your budget allows it. Particularly the later party which added an extra hour or more to our party time and afforded us ample time for many pictures and meet and greets between the fireworks and the Soirée.

Thanks WDWBelle and everyone else that has taken the time to share their experiences :hourglass Getting close for me :goodvibes

Thanks for the update.

Frontierland---area where where the bridge and benches are? Where FoF parade turns to go in front of castle?

We went on 9/26.

Queen of Hearts and the sisters where downstairs meeting.

Upstairs we had Frollo, Hook, all three Tremains, Maleficent, Queen Grimhilde, Dr. Facilier, & Cruella DeVil, so it seems we got them all. It would be fun if they added some rarer villains though, maybe Oogie Boogie (although it is hard for him to walk), Bowler Hat, Shan Yu that sort of thing.

Thanks for the updates all!!

Yes, exactly. When you enter the roped off reserved area (you enter from the right side if facing the castle) keep going until the end, or almost the end on the opposite side. You will see straight down the route where the parade comes with no one in front of you. You will see the parade head on and again from the side as it turns to go around the hub right in front of you. The characters come right up, face to face with you at the rope. A lot of people entering the reserved area stop right in front of the castle, but there are people lined up there across the street. Even though I was slightly farther away for the Villains castle show I felt my view for that was also better as I could see over everyone's heads who were crammed in the castle forecourt area across the street. I could see the whole stage without any heads in my way. It was one of the later areas to fill in on the rope but I think it had the best views. When the fireworks were going off I went back to lean against the railing behind me in the hub center.

Ok so I need some advice- I've got reservations for two at this Friday's soirée- late seating (11.45) but my friend just bailed. Now I'm faced with keeping MY res, but going alone. I'm afraid I'll feel kind of weird doing this alone. And the dessert looks good but how good is it REALLY? It's also the night I get in so I probably wouldn't get to the party until 9.

Is this worth it?? Epcot has EMH that night-- I could always go to food and wine or hang out at a bar in downtown Disney.

I'd be eating my $75 Halloween party ticket, BUT I've already done the Halloween party once this year.

What does everyone think?

I would go! There was a lady next to us alone and she seemed to have a good time. I noticed that every time a villain came to her table a cast member came to take her picture.

I'm sure you could find someone to take by Friday! Especially on the DIS

Just went last Friday and getting a chance to post now!

Loved it! Although I may not pay $100 again to do it. I felt the preferred viewing for the parade and fireworks was great since we didn't have to hold a spot for an hour.

The desserts were okay (I am a quite pickey eater) but the character interaction was phenomenal! And I live for that. I asked to try dr facillier's hat on and he was for it! Never happened before. (I'll try to post a pic) a cast member told me in all the years he's been working with dr facillier, he's never seen him give his hat to anyone, so that made it priceless.

My opinion is that yes, it's a lot of money, but why not just go and experience it. You may love it or hate it, but there's nothing else like it. If you already have it booked, I say go for it!

Thanks, guys. I'm not at all shy (and I'm single so I PROBABLY should've used this as an opportunity for some Dis dating!!!) but I ended up saving myself $100 and canceling. :-( So there are two ressies open for the soirée for this Friday's party, if anyone is looking.
