Villians Sinister Soirée

For anyone who has went to the soiree how is the tiered checkin process? Is it a strict checkin? If you are a 10:25 arrival, but you show up at 10:15.... Will they make you go to the back of the line? When you check in do you go in or do you wait outside until everyone is checked in and the doors open at 10:45?

I got the exact same message Tuesday, so this is a standard message that everyone who sends this email will likely get. (By that I mean that, unless you have an odd allergy that requires specific communication from the chef, we can probably expect to get the same thing.) It's helpful confirmation, though, that there are allergy alternatives at this event. I was concerned the special event status would mean limited options, but I was assured by phone that this is no different that other dessert events in terms of their ability to accommodate folks.

I included the phone number for Special Diets in one of my earlier posts (don't have it handy and I'm on the app), so it might be worth it to also give a call and have a note in your reservation.
Thank you I found the number and will be calling as well to just make sure.
Here is the email that I just got from disney. Not bad immediate response

Dear Crystal,

Thank you for inquiring about how we assist Guests with special dietary
requests.

There will be several special allergy items available at the Villains'
Sinister Soiree: A Wicked Takeover of Cinderella Castle. Some products
may have been produced in a plant that contains Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Soy
and Wheat. Because this location may have a set menu, the location has
requested advance notice for any special dietary request.

We have received your request and will forward it to the location.

Once you arrive, please alert your server and ask to speak with a Chef
or Manager.

We look forward to your visit!

Sincerely,

Rebecca Jordan

I haven't been yet, but when I called to try to move to a later check in time, the CM I spoke didn't make it sound that restrictive. She said I could get in as long as I showed up before the doors open (I didn't ask what would happen if I showed up after that). I think it's just a crowd-control issue so that everyone doesn't arrive at the same time and wait in a long line to get checked in. My guess is you'll be fine to check in if they're already open.

Thank you for the info. I have the earliest check in time and I wondered how they handle the crowd. I just dont understand the point of it if they let everyone in at the same time. Lol. Everyone is going to show up early. We are all excited and want to maximize our time.

They do the same at the wishes dessert party stagger the times and people just show up and they let them in..

savvy guests are conditioned to show up early for an ADR.

:duck:Madame keishashadow predicts there will be folks in line a good half hour (if not earlier) before the actual time they open the door.

I know several people including myself posted that they would like to know what accommodations would be made for people with allergies. I sent an email to special.diets@disneyworld.com asking them about this and this is an exerpt from the email I got back:

So glad to hear that they have already thought ahead to have special desserts available for people with allergies. I would still recommend that anyone with an allergy send an email like I did so that the Special Diet Team can forward the information to the location. They probably need to know how many people will be at each seating with allergies so they can have enough of the desserts for allergy sufferers ready. I just included my name, the name of my daughter and what allergy she suffers from, the reservaton number and the Primary Name on the reservation. Hope this helps everyone.

May I put this in the first post?

Normally I would do just that. But since I would then be giving up even MORE of the party time I had paid for, I would probably pass and take my chances showing up closer to the actual reservation time.

Thanks for the link to the review...most important to me was this Part though :
" with attendants for each villain ready to take group shots for you. "
I was so worried about not getting pics with the villains since I'm going to the Soiree by myself and I didn't want to bother asking people at the tables next to mine

we will also hold back. Nobody has mentioned yet how quickly the line flows. Would be nice if they have CMs stationed outside to walk back thru the line to verify entry pre 'official' time vs a guardian the gate.

After reading as to the quick pace of the event, hadn't expected that there would any opportunites for posed photos when seated (ala character meals), moreso when entering the castle.:confused3

How quickly what line flows? To get into the castle? It moved fairly quickly once the door was opened. The did have cast members outside checking people in and walking through the line making sure everyone had their party together and stuff like that. It basically was a character meal but with villains and desserts.

Did you only read Pete's account of the night? Several others said they had plenty of time. I watched videos people were posting to Youtube, and the characters seemed to spend the same amount of time at your table that the Princesses at CRT do, more than enough time for a photo and some chatter. The only part that sounded rushed was the entrance with the plushy Villains.

Even Pete's review didn't seem.to.criticize the amount of time you saw the villains upstairs (just entry), but moreso that the servers were what made it feel rushed (trying to take away unfinished plates, etc). Pete praised the characters a lot.

Does anyone know what some of the allergy options are yet? I am trying to decide if I want to list my daughter's allergies for my desserts (nuts/soy) or just bring her some snacks and enjoy the desserts as they are. My daughter is 1and would be eating off my plate so that's where I'm trying to decide if it is worth it since she would only be getting a bite or 2 of them as we don't feed her desserts/sweets/processed food often at all.

If it is like some prepackaged cheap brownie or cookie I know it isn't worth it. I wonder if there is a dessert that you know would be okay vs another if you could sub out and just get 2 of that.

One of the issues is that all the food is preplated. So there is a serious risk of cross contamination between the desserts since several have nuts. One is make with pistachio mousse and another has nuts around the outside. If cross contamination is an issue, I don't know if sharing a plate if a good idea.

Yes - you may put this in the first post. It is a good idea to have the information there so people who have the same question will not have to search through pages of posts to find the answer.
