I was going to put in a "lake side" studio request at Wilderness Lodge. Is it better to be on a higher floor? Or is the 1st floor just as good since it's mostly trees? thanks

You will most certainly want a higher floor.

I love first floor, so quick in and out over to Roaring Forks, no waiting for elevators!

Trees block the lake view, maybe a little blue between the trees. More blue on the higher floors.

I like the first floor because you get more of a patio vs. enclosed balcony and you never have to deal with elevators.

But ask for Lake Side anyway . . .there is just something about the sound of the boats on the lake, blowing their horns as they leave the docks, that calls to us. It is hard to hear them on the opposite side of the Villas. My mind drifts off to sitting on our balcony, sipping that morning coffee, hearing the boats doing their appointed rounds . . . .ahhhhhh.
