So I am still dreaming that my September trip will happen. We are doing a split stay Beach Club & Animal Kingdom Lodge....but have always wanted to stay at Wilderness Lodge, so I was going to add a final night (or two) there....been holding off on pulling the trigger and all of a sudden today the rooms that were available two nights ago (all bed situations & views) are GONE.

I worry about what that is saying about the September crowds--or could it be related to the ongoing remodel?

Anyhow I can get a studio villa for about the same price. Tell me about Copper Creek versus Boulder Ridge? Do they feel like part of the main resort? What differences are there that make you prefer one or the other?

Copper Creek is part of the main lodge. They are in the south side that used to be regular rooms that they turned into DVC. Boulder Ridge was built as DVC and a seperate building but connected to main resort by a covered walkway.

I don’t know how many nights your trip is, but unless it’s 2 weeks I wouldn’t do a 3 resort split. You’ll just be packing and unpacking and staying 1 or even 2 nights at a resort doesn’t really give you a good feel of staying there. More like just passing thru. Save WL for next time.

Thank you, that helps!

Our trip is 12 nights. Out last trip was 20 years ago and we likely won’t have a “next time” so it’s whether or not to add an extra night or two. If we don’t as a night or two as WL we will just do fewer nights total.

I agree with the previous poster that 3 moves is too much in 1 trip but if you really want to do it, then go for it.

Copper creek is in the main lodge, these rooms are newly redone but smaller than boulder ridge (338 sq ft vs 356, so not a huge difference) Boulder ridge is it's own separate building but connected to the main lodge through a covered walkway. Boulder ridge is a lot quieter, at Copper Creek you could potentially get a room that faces the lobby in which you will hear Whispering Canyon Cafe and the music from the lobby. I've had these rooms before and it's not terribly loud but you do hear it. At boulder ridge if you are trying to refill your mug or get to the quick service it can be a bit of a trek. So they both have their pros and cons, just more depends on if you really feel like you need to be in the main lodge with updated furnishings or you want to be in a quieter environment with rooms that were updated 5-6 ish years ago.

A studio at BRV will have one queen bed, one double sleeper sofa and a bunk sized murphy bed. CCV will have one queen bed and one queen sized sleeper sofa.

thanks! It’s just the two of us so we would be happy either way!

Something’s wonky with wilderness Lodge in September, every day they are showing as fully booked. That’s not particularly likely. There’s another thread about it. I’d Call.
