villa reservation and discounts

We are going to make a reservation for a 2 bdroom villa for next july as soon as we can with a AAA rate. That being said, everyone knows how theyve been having all levels of resorts at deep discounts this yr and with the 4/3 deal.

My question is....if we book the villa and than a better deal comes out, can we change our reservation to reflect that deal or are we stuck with the AAA discount?

I was actually wondering the same thing when it comes to the villas- I know you can do that when you book at the other resorts, any difference with the villas?

all i know is that I HAVE a 2 bed akl kudani villa std view room with AAA and Disney REFUSES to let AAA modify this room with the free dining!!!! ???? AAA is as baffled as you are... my agent (and actually a couple more) are all trying to find a disney supervisor that will allow this! Disney is telling them that in order to modify, there has to be a std villa available.... we keep telling them that there IS one available... MINE,.... just modify the existing room I booked into a free dining... they won't budge!?? So... when they tell you " just book now at full rate, and if a special comes out... we'll just modify it for you".....BS!! so much for PIXIE DUST!

Thats becasue with free dining, you HAVE to book rack rate to get free dining. You cant combine 2 discounts. You've never been able to. So you cant have both AAA rate and free dining. You can get AAA rate and than ADD dining but not for free. Thats why this yr with the free dining offer and the 40% PIN being offered at the same time, a lot of people had to do the math to see which is a better deal.

You can drop the free dining and get the AAA rate OR you can get the free dining at rack rate...not both

If you could combine 2 promotions people would be gettin g40% off the room AND free dining together this year

Yes, i know that , but disney wont even offer these rooms in the special evidently, because they were already booked. So even if i took off the AAA discount, i believe i would still be paying more.

It may be that the FD special and the AAA stuff comes from different blocks of rooms. Try calling Disney or booking a new reservation online -- I just got 2BR villas yesterday and today for FD trips in November and there were choices at AKL. VWL, SS and OKW. I also saw one at BW or YC - can't remember which. The only thing I couldn't do was apply FD to my existing BLT ressie -- it wasn't available for my dates. Once you get the new ressie you can cancel the AAA one.

so PP, are you trying to drop your AAA rate room adn apply free dining? because if you are it might be a simple that its not available anymore. They only alot a certain number of rooms for free dining so even though you have a room, you might not be ablet o switch it to free dining. Also, unless you're planning on going for free dining during the dates they just released, isnt the time to book that promotion over?

And you probably will be paying more upfront b/c you have to pay rack rate for the room so obviously its going to be more than the AAA rate as well as its a package so tickets are included. You might want to see if just adding the dining plan is cheaper tha paying rack rate for the 2 bedroom.

Also, are AAA agents even allowed to book free dinig packages for customers? I thought they could only book packages with teh AAA discount which would exclude them from the free dining promotion
