Me again - you can tell I'm new at this villa lark ;)

We've decided not to take the gorgeous villa in Bridgewater Crossing, I've had a couple of replies that have made me realise quite how far out it is; whilst we don't mind a 20 minute odd drive, this - coupled with the roadworks - sound as though we may well be sat in the car for around an hour each way :sad2:

So, after more hours spent trawling through villas on the web, I've gone mad I think :badpc: :rotfl2:

I still have one in Indian Creek which sort of appeals, but there are two nicer ones in the following areas, and in order for my personal favourites are:

Lakeside Estate - exactly where is this and how far out, what's near it etc.
Lindfields - I know this is a very popular area and it says on the blurb that it's only 5 mins to Disney (but then Bridgewater Xing said 20 mins . . . ).

Another couple which also appeal are

Windward Cay, and
Hamilton Reserve

Help, please :confused3 I need to book one pronto :rolleyes1

Thanks ever so

Annie,
I know where 3 of the developments are.
Lindfields is in the Formosa Gardens area, where we recently stayed at Indian Creek.
I believe Lindfields is one of the oldest locations in the area though, I have not seen the houses myself.

Hamilton's and Windward are further up the US192 off Poinciana Boulevard , we have stayed at this area before at Indian Point and will do again this August at Cumbrian Lakes.

The Poinciana location you are bit further away from the I4 and Disney, but anything around the FG area is ideal, and whilst I would never say 5 minutes, I mean lets face it , it takes more than 5 mins to drive through the few miles to your theme park when you actually arrive on Disney itself...anything around FG is perfect.
I cannot say exactly where Lindfields is , can only presume it is near the Indian Creek, Rolling Hills and Windsor Palms area all of which give easy access to all the parks and I4.

Hello Mrs Dazzel,

We stopped at Lindfields in July 2003 - and you are right, it is about a 10 minute drive to Disney, or a 25 - 30 minute drive to Universal. If i remember its near marker 4 on the 192.

When we go this year (fly out from Manchester July 14th) we are stopping at Winward Cay next to Walmart, marker 14, on the 192. I have made some enquiries, and have been told that the road works are a little further down heading to Kissimmee, and not in the direction of Disney.

Thanks to everyone for your help :cool1:

Villa's now booked in Eagle Point - looks beautiful, so since that's the last of the planning (I think :rotfl: ), can't wait till August now.

Eagle Pointe is a great choice - you can get to Disney via the 535 - only takes 12 minutes....
