Viggle App: Get rewards for watching television!

So I downloaded the new app for Viggle and I was watching video's back to back and realized I wasn't getting notitified of my points..well if you notice on the commercials you find within a show screen (not sure how to explain it) - Not ads you find on the whats on stream - they put a pink check mark on now that they did not in the past..so if you tap out of a show and back they often go away..this is going to make it more challenging to ad slam..UGH! Wish I had waited to download the new app, I was just excited to see the points history.

i've had a mixed bag. a few min ago, i had ads everywhere i went. and like a fair amount of 30 pt ones too. probaly got several 100 points then it froze and i had to restart app and not finding so much. seems like it just depends.

i was so close to being able to cash out for a $25 target gift card. then my darling 3 year old son found the iPhone and cashed out for a $5 starbucks card.

as for the updates, my dh updated on his iPad and i decided not to do so yet. the check mark on the ads under show profiles made it a lot more work to mindlessly watch ads.

also, i decided to click a few ads while i was waiting outside of my dh's work yesterday. i felt a little weird watching the david beckham ads in public.

I guess it varies among users, but since I've downloaded the new version, I've been getting more ads then ever! 15 pointers, 30 pointers, etc. Everywhere. I just back out and click on the show again....multiple ads.

I even had a good run of Gatorade (30 pointers) ads under NBA for a straight 15 minutes. Usually the ads mix during a slam, (15, 30, 10 for example), but mine were all 30 pointers for that 15 minutes! Reminded me of the good old days!

Love the points history...I've been checking into many shows from last night, and a few didn't give me the check in bonus points. I cringe to think how much this happened in the past when I wasn't paying attention. No biggie, I just checked in a second time and got the bonus points.

I just saw what you meant about the pink check mark. (showing up on the ads that are full page when you flip thru shows, @ the point value). It seems like as long as I've used viggle (which isn't long anyways), you havne't been able to slam those ones, just the ones that show up when you click on a show.

& what else I just noticed is it seems like it goes away when you check into a new show.

You can cash out for Banana republic or Gap and use it at Old Navy too.

They are all gone.

Yep, remember that you can get bonus points for Featured Shows within 7 days of the air date. If I miss any shows at night, I usually just go to the networks website....they usually have new episodes up pretty quickly.


I'm absolutely amazed that we're all getting so many ads today. Hopefully this will be the norm!

Viggle works almost the same with recorded shows as with live shows. The difference is with recorded shows you only have the option of doing the 'audio' check in. The manual check in only works with shows airing live. (I'm assuming you've done the check ins enough to know about 'audio check in' and 'manual check in.')

So you can either record any shows you miss to Tivo/DVR, or look up video clips for the specific episodes you need. The main networks, (FOX, NBC, ABC, etc.), usually upload new episodes. Or you can check Hulu.

There is no limit...you can get all Featured Bonus points for each show that's listed.

Remember: You need to be checked into a Featured Show for a FULL ten minutes to get the bonus points. (I usually round up to 11 minutes just to be safe.)

It's simple. Download the Starbucks app and load your current card to your account. Cash out for a SB card on Viggle, get said card online, register it as a new card. Go to the new card, click transfer balance, and drag it to your old card. I've done it many times.

Also, the Slickdeals people think the $5 are disappearing because they are going to come back at 10,000. Only SB, Papa Johns, Hot Topic, and maybe one more are left.

That really sucks. When I saw ON was gone, I decided to cash out for CVS but that's gone too. It's very demotivating when the rewards you want aren't there at all.
