Viggle App: Get rewards for watching television!

Yep, all this "talk" makes me nervous too. I try and always think - it can all be gone in an instant! I did cash out about $25 in Starbucks because they will and can be used and our other device has about 47k right now so hopefully after the shows tonight I'll do BestBuy and convert to Amazon. After that, I hope they bring back other smaller rewards or we'll all be on a caffeine high! :rotfl2:

Speaking of Starbucks - they have a happy hour 1/2 off the Frappucinos 5/4 - 5/13 and I think it's from 3-5pm. :cool1: I saw the advertisement in my People magazine. We tried the new Mocha Cookie Crumble today and it was quite tasty! I could barely taste any coffee in it so it's great for those who don't like anything too strong.

Thanks,
Heather

I am probaly going to cash out for a BB card. I'm at 46,000, might as well. I was going to try and save up like $200-250 or so in GC's so I can get an ipad for cheap, but y'all have me paranoid now :P. Altho if they had that much financial stuff I wonder if they would be expanding the app to the Android. Then again, maybe iphone just isn't doing it for em. :P
Oh well, glad to be getting so close to getting a GC.

Someone posted it on slickdeals a while ago and I looked it up from their post. They are borrowing money from their parent company. The post was about the time they switched from 12,000 points a day to 6,000 points per day.

I wonder if it's something like this. http://www.lostremote.com/2012/01/18/media-exec-announces-new-social-tv-startupt-viggle/

I wonder alot of companies re-arrange their structure to support newer things... & if that would make it like a "loan" or that company borrowing money per se... But- one never knows what the case is so it's probaly smart to keep it low..

I have been using this app with the hopes of collecting some funds toward an iPad or a LeapPad for my daughter. I am at almost 10K points, but this talk of going under is making me nervous! Although I did learn some tips from reading this thread so hopefully I can rack up the points faster now.

But that's the thing, Viggle keeps saying they are coming out with an Android app....but it hasn't materialized yet. Since February their standard answer has been, "The Android app will be out in 4 to 6 weeks."

That's why this has been a running joke to everyone. It's almost May 1st and still no Android app.

Maybe Viggle is in trouble of crashing and that's why the Android app hasn't been released yet. I think they are trying to do damage control before taking on more members.

I read an article back in January where Viggle said it was their intention for users to redeem points for gift cards at a rate of, 'a $5 gift card once every 3 weeks.'

Their original business model certainly never followed that pattern, and even with all the drastic changes they have made now, I still don't see it following that idea.

Until they get down to that level, I don't see how they will stay in business. Even at a minimum (right now), many people are redeeming a $10 gift card every 5 days (or less.) Viggle will not be able to stay in business at this rate.

Itunes cards are back (at 14,000 points)!

Thanks! I will take it - I have almost 50k racked up and I will get some benefit from these. Between my ddaughters and myself, we spend a fair amount on iTunes anyway.

I cashed out this morning for a free movie ticket up to $13, so i will be seeing The Avengers in a few weeks in Imax 3D it is going to be awesome!

If there were any gift cards left that I was on the fence about getting, I would have redeemed for them. Viggle has mentioned that Sephora gift cards (and others) will return. There's no reason to think they wouldn't follow through....when Viggle has said a certain gift card was coming back, it always did. Maybe not at the same price point, but still.....:rolleyes1

If you're concerned about Viggle going under then you might want to cash out each time you get enough points....sitting on 20,000+ points seems too risky, that's a lot of points to lose! I redeem every time I hit 14,000 points....never kept a balance higher than that in weeks. :thumbsup2 Of course at the moment I'm sitting on 16,000 points waiting for Sephora to return! :headache:

I've been good at cashing out when I reach certain increments. However, I was trying for Target and they were gone before I got there.

How are you converting to a Amazon GC? We Amazon alot, probably too much, and this would be good to have.

Viggle added a new reward: Redbox Video Game rentals 4,500 points. (And they still have the original Redbox for 3,000 points.)

You can use the Best Buy egift cards to buy an Amazon gift card at the store. Remember they will most likely be Amazon Kindle gift cards but as you probably know, you can use these for anything on Amazon. :cool1:

I've redeemed quite a few this way and not one issue doing this at the store! ;)

I wanted get some gap gift cards. I blinked this weekend and poof they are all gone. Now I have to save up for BB or pray they come back before everything goes away.

Hello fellow Vigglers!:yay:

I haven't redeemed yet but wanted to ask a question. I was going to get SB since the target card is gone. When I went to redeem it asked for my name and address. Is this normal and is it a safe site? Thanks!:)

We went to 2 Best Buys today and both were out of all gift cards except for Best Buy cards. We had planned on getting 3 Amazon cards. One of the employees said they have been out for about a week and a half and he was not sure if they would be getting anymore Amazon cards. So if your store still has them....good for you!

I was told that they are being discontinued, Target also told me that about the Amazon cards as they were out to.
