Viggle App: Get rewards for watching television!

Love this app and thanks so much for the info about the Status Bar. I had no idea it was there. I will have to check it out later because the only problem I seem to be having is I am wearing out my iPhone battery - I check in so much - it uses so much battery life and I do not have a charger in my office. I will have to remember to bring it with me. I charged my phone at lunch with my car charger - but that did not last all day.

Oh well - got my first $25 gift card to BestBuy. Can't wait to get my second.

Just wondering if someone can tell me if there is a way to set the app up that when a show has questions to answer, like American Idol last night, that it alerts you when there is a new question. It seems I have to keep my screen on the whole time on my iphone or else I miss the question, it really is a pain in the butt. The little bell icon on the top right of the page is on, so I figured that would give me an alert, but its not. Any help would be appreciated.

You can turn your sound on but I've found that to be hit or miss...maybe 50% of the time a little bell chime will go off when a question pops up

Ok, I just spoke with the most helpful Viggle support person!

I e-mailed to inquire about whether I got the check-in bonus points for the basketball game last night. I got a reply back saying you can check your points history, by pulling down the "status bar" on your phone. You pull down from the top of your phone (where the clock is.) That's where your points are!

I don't know if anyone else knew that, but I didn't.

Looks like I did get those check-in bonus points for the game after all.

When you first opened Viggle it asked if you would like "push notifications" and you would have had to click yes...If you clicked no I unfortunately don't know how to re-enable push notifications but maybe someone else does.

Once you have a push notification from viggle it'll show up there. Usually there's an alert sound and then it'll show up in the drop down.

To turn on notifications on any app go to settings, then notifications, then find the app you want to change, look at the top and make sure the notification center is on. below that you can change how many items it will show and the type of alert that shows on your screen.

I just found out new information regarding Sephora E-gift cards, well new to me. Maybe most or all of you already know this, but I'll post anyway!

Apparently you can combine Sephora e-gift cards! I always thought you could only use one per transaction. As you go through the check-out process on their website, and you see the box where you can type in the e-gift certificate code, right above that it says something to the effect, "only 1 e-gift certificate per order."

So anyway, I was talking with a few other Vigglers who have redeemed for the Sephora e-gift cards, and they mentioned you can stack. Type in all the e-codes in the box and leave a space in between each set of numbers.

I did confirm this with Sephora, and they confirmed that you can do this. But they should really take that wording off their website about using only 1 e-certificate per order. Very confusing!

Good to know, I am looking at getting the new Bare Essentuals SPF Moisturizer so I may just use my viggle rewards for that! Yay to free makeup!

How ironic, I just redeemed some Best Buy gift cards and I'm going out today to pick up The Muppets movie too! Oh, and I might also get Lady and The Tramp. Gotta get those Disney Movie reward points!

Every night when I try to check into one of the bonus shows, it never can match it and then I have to type in the show and then check in. Do you think I am stilling getting the extra bonus points. It always takes forever for the points to appear and by then I have already watched a few shows. I do hold it up in the air, try putting it on the bed, turn up the volume, etc. Most of the time it can't match.

I just started this the other day and I am up to about 14,000 points. Is there any trick to figuring out which shows are worth more points than others (other than the featured shows) or is it just simply a points per minute system?

I checked into Awake the other night and got far more points than I thought I would.

It's just a points system, 2 points per minute. (Although this weekend it's 3 points per minute!) The Featured Shows is the only way to get extra points for watching shows. Besides the play along trivia they sometimes offer with various shows. Last week they did trivia for American Idol and NCIS.

Yea, last month I watched The Simpsons. It was a featured show so I was supposed to get the check-in bonus (300 points), plus the 2 points per minute (60). I got 1200 points for watching that! They never did take away those extra points, so that was nice for me. Sometimes it happens....
