Viggle App: Get rewards for watching television!

Oh! Good idea on the Best Buy gift card! Thanks!

I am getting a ton of points with the olympic bonus points. I am going to be sad when its over:sad:

I have been doing Viggle for a while now, but love my new use for the Starbucks rewards! I transfer all of the money to my gold Starbucks card, and use that for Starbucks drinks and treats at Disney California Adventure! Loving the Olympics! I was at $0 and now have $15 for our trip next week!

I have not really been doing Viggle until the last week or so. However, I am LOVING it. by the time I go to bed tonight I will have enough for an amazon gift card. This works out great since my oldest turns 3 in 20 days and he wants The Lorax movie.

Anyone else having issues checking in to the Olympics today?

Yes, I had a lot of problems yesterday. The prime time play along was really slow for me, too. I didn't get credit for any question for like 90 minutes. But then this morning I did see that my account had the points, so it seems like Viggle was just really slow.

And about that, if I don't get credit for questions I answered between 8:30-10:00 pm until after midnight, do they count towards the 6000 daily points on the day earned or the day credited? For instance, I earned them on Aug. 5th, but they didn't show up in my account until Aug. 6th. Anybody know?

I read on Twitter a day or so ago that they were restocking soon but no specific dates were given.

Yea, Viggle said the same thing on Facebook: "Rest assured that your favorite rewards will be restocked soon."

For the past few months, Viggle has been very consistent about restocking Best Buy/Amazon cards. It may take a week or two, but these rewards always seem to come back.

In case everyone hasn't read this yet, I thought I would post this new info in Viggle's fact page;

If there is a check-in bonus associated with a show, it is valid only for shows recorded and checked into by 8 am the following morning. This window may not apply for shows that air new episodes on a daily basis, particularly if the show is promoted over consecutive days or nights, or for sporting events.

They could have at least announced the change. Instead someone on facebook pointed out the change in the FAQ's page after a lot of people didn't get bonus points in the 24 hour time frame.:confused3

Anyone else see next weeks bonus for the shows 50 points :headache:

:mad::mad::mad:
I am not sure I will even come close to getting 1000 per day since I hardly ever get videos. Glad I took advantage of the points through the olympics because it looks bad from here on out.

Yeah, I noticed the point values dropping. I'm hoping to do the Olympic trivia all day, as I'm about 7500 points away from Amazon or Best Buy if they bring them back. With no ads, after today, the points will be a bit hard to get.

Yes...ugh, so frustrating! :headache: Guess we won't see bonus points increase for season premieres this month and next month. Grimm season premiere is tomorrow night, and it's only listed at 50 points.

I'll probably keep Viggling through Fall/Winter since Christmas is coming up. But not sure if I'll have the motivation to continue Viggle after that.

Agree with that. It was good until it lasted. Earned $210 total in the past five months and that is continually checking into shows for 12 hours each day. They have made it harder and harder to earn points. I would rather watch the shows I like in leisure than to have to continually change the channel and check into shows just to get a few points.

I hope the regulars won't mind a post from a newbie. I only signed up last week, because I didn't know about the program before. I've only had my iPhone a little over a month, so I didn't miss out for too much, but I probably would have been on my way to a 2nd $25. But I used to do a lot of rewards program "back in the day." Freeride, Beenz, Search Cactus, Milesource, My Points, etc. I missed the heyday of those too, but still was making decent money. But it would take a month to reach a $25 level at best, and then it became 2 or even 3 months to earn that much with a program. I'm loving that only after a week, I'm almost at a $25 level. And I love that my DH can have an account and do it on his phone too, so we're almost at $50.

I know Olympic trivia will be going away, and points won't come as easy as old-time Vigglers are used to. But even at 2000 pts a day, the $25 Amazon level is reached at less than a month. And watching tv programs is something I do everyday, so even if points are "stingy," I'd rather be making $25 every month or even 2 months or 3 months than be watching the same shows and having nothing. Checking-in for your regular shows takes so little time compared to doing those older rewards rewards programs. Right now, I can't imagine thinking, "I'm not going to push a couple buttons to check-in because I'm not making as much as I used too." I'm not even planning on checking-in with all the bonus shows, just because enough of my regular shows seem to show up with bonus and it's still seems like free money for a small amount of commitment (once this Olympic trivia is done, this is crazy, but still kind of fun).

I've just joined today and I have been playing around with it, but I have not found Trivia or Trailers anywhere. I understand from reading past pages that the accumulation of numbers has diminished from when this subject was first posted in February. Have they given up on Trivia and Trailers? Is there a special place for me to find them? I have been clicking all over the place but can't seem to find them.

Thank you for any help or advice for a newbie.

Hopemax,

If you are consistently getting 2,000 points per day, please tell me how you're doing it! As of late, it's taking me 6 to 8 weeks to get 50,000 points. Hence the reason why I'll probably drop off after the holidays.

Ads are getting really difficult to come by. Even stayed up last night for the "reset" and didn't get any ads. :( (guess the resets don't exist anymore??) I'll get a few ads through the day, but not more than 300 points worth.

So my daily average is about 1,000 points....sometimes less depending on the Featured Bonuses.

Right now Olympic trivia is the only thing you can find. You need to be checked into the olympics for it to show up. Ads will either show up on a tile on the carousel with the featured show or when you click into a shows page. Sometimes going between the rewards and whats on buttons will refresh and give you an additional ad after you have watched one. You have to be checked into a show for ads to show up. Right now there is just not a lot of ads. Between 7am and 8am CST I am finding several ads. After the olympics they should be running tv genius, a trivia that runs all day. And hopefully will bring back viggle live for some bonus shows.
Make sure you check into all the bonus point shows. You only have to be checked into a show for 10 minutes to get the bonus points. You can dvr and check into them later but will not get the bonus points after 8am EST the following day. Good luck!

If you read my post, you would have seen that I've only been doing it 6 days. So I'm not getting 2000 points a day. My point was compared to the rewards programs of the past, and I listed them, this is nothing in terms of work/payoff.

How long does it take per day to check-in to shows and get the points for watching? No ads, no trivia, just opening the app, and checking-in to a show for no bonus? Maybe 20 sec per check-in, a few multi-hour shows, so 3 min per day, maybe? I remember doing those old reward programs and them taking 10-15 min a day for several of them. Some were 2 min, answer a trivia question a day. This, I'm watching the same TV I would be watching anyway. Even if it takes your number, 8 weeks, to reach $25. That would be $150 per year more than I had when I was just playing Tiny Tower or Angry Birds while watching the same tv shows.

You have to be checked in to a show for the trivia or the ads to show up. They show up when you click on a show. There's a white banner that will have the ads or hte trivia info on them.

Right now Olympic trivia is the only thing you can find. You need to be checked into the olympics for it to show up.

You don't have to be checked in to the Olympics for the trivia to work, you only have to be checked in to something.

You can access/play the olympic trivia or any viggle live without being checked into that particular show. But Viggle posted on their facebook page, that you should be checked into the show associated with the trivia to play. I am sure many people check in and out of other shows while playing trivia and have never had any problems. I just did not want to give anyone information that could possibly get their account suspended.
