Can you see EPCOT's fireworks from Boardwalk?

Trying to decide between staying at BLT and Boardwalk.

BLT we can afford a standview. Boardwalk we can afford a preferred view.

We're going with friends - 4 adults, one 7 year old, one 5 year old, and two 2.5 year olds!

We like the idea of being close to EPCOT and hollywood, since last time we were there (a year ago) we barely saw those two parks.

Of course, we also like the idea of being so close to MK - with park hoppers my son could ride Haunted Mansion every day (his favorite ride). And being close to the monorail.

Anyone want to weigh in.

I sort of wanted our first stay at BLT to have an MK view, but after reading the thread about BLT's views - we could get lucky??

If we stay at BWV we could easily walk to EPCOT and hop onto the monorail to MK...

We stayed in a 4th floor Illuminations view one bdrm this past August. I would definitely tell MS that you want to see the fireworks to make a request. We only saw the top of the fireworks from our balcony. We did see some of Wishes at night as well. We love Boardwalk due to the location and things going on at night.
Our next visit hopefully will be at BLT so I can't tell you anything about that.
Good luck and have a great trip!

With two 2.5 yos, I'm guessing strollers and afternoon naps will likely be a daily occurrence. Personally, I would choose the resort closest to the parks you will visit the most. If you will spend most of your time at Epcot and DHS, go with BWV. If you will spend most of your time at MK (and possibly Epcot) I would go for BLT.

Strollers from BWV to Epcot and DHS will be a breeze.
Strollers from BLT to MK and Epcot are also a breeze.
Once a bus becomes involved, strollers are extra work.

While walking through Epcot to the monorail is an option (and as adults DW and I like to do this), that's a lot of walking for smaller legs. Particularly after a couple days in the parks.

Kids (and many adults) love the monorail and boats, so either choice sounds great. Good luck with your decision.

I'm just guessing because of the childrens ages that you'll spend more time at MK, so I'd say BLT. I think even with the best view at BWV, the fireworks would still be partially blocked...but even with a standard view at BLT, you're just a short walk to the bridge or Top of the World lounge to see a good view of the MK fireworks.

Also as mentioned, it's a lot more convenient for afternoon naps (unless, of course, your at EPCOT!) You consider a split stay? ;)

We were facing Epcot practically straight on from BWV our last stay there, and while we could see some nice fireworks, it was only some of them - those that went high enough - and did not feel like a complete show. From BLT, you should be able to see the whole show from MK - which in my opinion, is a nicer fireworks show anyway. We've stayed at several of the locations and in terms of views, we are partial to the resorts around Magic Kingdom. However, in terms of convenience, there is a lot to be said for the Boardwalk location. But it really comes down to which park(s) you want to spend the most time in. As another poster said, it's not the easiest trip to get to Epcot and walk to the monorail to get to MK - you also have to walk off and back on the monorail at the Transportaion Center to get to MK. It's a long trip - even compared to the sometimes incredibly slow buses...

If you are talking about a preferred pool/garden view, you will be facing one of the pools or the Swan. None of those have Epcot fireworks views. Some of the standard views have a fireworks view and the boardwalk view rooms do.

We just got back from BLT and a MK view. Our room could have been the one in the add it was the 12th floor middle, AMAZING! :thumbsup2
With that said we only saw the fireworks from our room one night, our last as we were packing. The parks close earlier in the fall and winter so fireworks can be as early as 8:00 and we found we were often in a park enjoying our time. In fact the fireworks we saw were the 9:30 Halloween party.:goodvibes
When at the BLT pool we noticed how peaceful and lovely the view was on the bay side. We think we might even pick the next time just to try it. It could give a nice break from the parks and it is a lot less points.
If at BLT without a MK view, you can always go up to the lounge to watch the fireworks from the balcony. We went up one night after the fireworks just to check it out, it was breeze and nice. We image the firework view would be great. They also pipe in the music.
I did LOVE:love: being on the monorail, the first stop on the way home last stop to get to MK. We walked over to MK most mornings when we went it was about 10-15 minutes and fun to look at all the "happy Mickey's" my 3 year old called the name blocks.:)
I think either way you will not go wrong, good luck and let us know what you decided.
