Viewing poly rooms

I’m not sure. I think maybe? All I know is we pulled in and were told we couldn’t drive there and would have to take a bus and park somewhere else. With little kids and strollers it felt like way too much work so we just left.

There is a model unit at Pioneer Hall that you can just walk up to and view any time it is staffed (unless the rules have changed since). You can just ride the bus or boat there from any park. If you tried to drive up the main entrance of Fort Wilderness yes you will be turned away without a pre-existing appointment with a DVC guide. More and more, resorts are not allowing guests to park on property without some sort of reservation.

They have to take it out of service for bookings in order for it to be used as a model.

So, it may not be worth it against the models they have in the tower to use for sales.
There were a few empty bungalows when we went to see it, I dont understand why they couldnt just check and show us really fast

I just want a peek, it doesnt have to be perfect 🤣

I tried to tour them a few years ago with my guide as well, this was before PIT was open - he said no; they don't have a model. We saw a Copper Creek cabin instead. Very nice indeed, but nothing like the bungalows I've seen on YouTube.

I hear mixed reviews from people over which is better, id like to try both and be the judge 😄 I wish the plunge pool at the bungalows was bigger and more like a jacuzzi, so that could sway me more to liking the cabins better, but the fireworks from the bungalow are probably stunning 😍

Same, definitely going to book both sometime so I can decide. Touring it is one thing but staying in it is quite another.

Because that’s not the way it works with them taking inventory out of service for the use of models.

If they decide to let people tour rooms that are due for people use it has to be cleaned again before the next set of guests can check in.

Again, they have the right to take rooms to use as models but it’s up to them to set it up that way and they simply don’t have the bungalows right now for tours.

Empty doesn't mean it's ready to be a DVC model for showings.

In late May on this year one of the Bungalows was strictly a model, nobody has ever rented that particular bungalow.
