viewing phone reservations online

i have booked half my dining ressies on the phone and half online. when i view my online ressies, there is an option to retrieve other reservations using conf number and tel number. i have tried this, but it doesn't work. has anyone else from the uk had the same problem. i know there is a similar thread on the main dining board, but thought i would ask here in case it was something to do with the uk phone number.
 
I had the same problem. Couldn't retrieve my ADR's made by phone.
I found out that they only store 10 digits of my phone number so you might
want to try just using the first 10 digits of the telephone number that you had
given when making the reservation. Good luck !

i tries using the last 10, which i was asked for over the phone, so i dropped the 0 in the prefix; which is what you do when calling the uk from the us anyway, but it still doesnt work.

Mine never worked last year. When I phoned they went into the system and it showed 'number unknown.' I booked my next few ressie using my resort phone number and voila! Easy to call up. I just phoned and made sure they were all there, which they were. No point worrying about it. I don't think it can be done.

Maybe every situation is different but I think the problem you can't retrieve
your phone reservation is because the phone number doesn't match. The conf number would match alright but somehow the phone numbers don't.
In my case, I didn't drop the prefix 0 .... just use all 10 FIRST digits that I gave them.... so in essence dropping the last few digits. I even had 2 zero's at the start of my phone number.
But again, maybe the problem is not the same for everyone.
You could also call Disney and they should be able to retrieve the reservation for you and also tell you what is stored in their system as yr telephone number so that you could retrieve it yourself the next time. Good luck !

They will be able to retrieve your reservation for you. If the system didn't recognise the format of your number (the system is temperamental at best, so it's not unusual for some to have problems while others don't), it will re-format the number as .unknown. If this is the case, this is all the CM will be able to see. Unfortunately they are not able to re-enter your number for you.

2tiggies, when i originally booked my ressies, i tried to use the OKW number, but the cm wouldnt let me, maybe because i said 'use the number for OKW', rather than reading the number to him.
anyway all sorted now, and i can sleep easy. i feel much better knowing they are still there. a watsed phonecall? maybe, but imagine getting to WDW and finding your ressies aren't there:scared1:

It is harder when you do it over the phone. Next time just point out to the CM that they ask for a number to contact you while you are on vacation - so your UK home number is NOT what they should be asking for and the resort one is what they should want. Just for next time ;)
 
thats the exact reason i tried using okw number, i have used it on all my online bookings

I recently made one ADR on the phone and three online. Initially I couldn't view the phone ADR at all but when I logged on weeks later, if I typed in the details I could view it, it still does not appear in my list of online ADR's though.

Strangely I have an email confirmation of the phone ADR but I can't say that I remember giving my email addy :confused3 I guess I must have done ;)

Thanks for posting this littlelaura you have really helped me out! :thumbsup2 I had to make most of my reservations by phone this time as I was using the 180+10 window and this wasn't working online when I made them. I tried to pull them up online a few weeks after and I had the same problem as you in that they weren't found. :eek: I wasn't overly worried as I had the confirmation numbers but I would have liked a printed copy just for peace of mind!

Anyway, having read the replies to this post I tried the first 10 digits of the phone number (I gave them my mobile starting with a 44) and it worked for all bar 3 :cool1: So I have just called Disney and it turns out I actually had one of the numbers down incorrectly so I have been able to retrieve that now and they confirmed the other 2 from the number. I now have peace of mind, thank you!
