Viewing Illuminations from Japan Lounge

I am planning an evening of eating dinner at home and then going to WS to watch the TOD parade and Illuminations. I understand there's a good view from the terrace outside the lounge area of Japan. Would it be appropriate to go there for an after-dinner drink and take advantage of the view? Can you also see TOD well from there?

Its an okay spot to view illuminations, some countries are not viewable because of the angle.
