You can see the fireworks fairly well from Paradise Pier (in front of California Screamin') and from Sunshine Plaza - you get an interesting view from Sunshine Plaza of the fireworks over the "Golden Gate Bridge".
Just to let you know, most of the time, DCA is not officially open when the fireworks are showing. If you want to, get in line for the Sun Wheel just before park closing and enjoy them from up there.

Thanks for the posts. Guess it was wishful thinking on my part. I rechecked the calendar and DCA closes at 9 and fireworks are 9:45. I was hoping to avoid having to enter DL.
You don't have to enter DL - you can watch the fireworks from the plaza between the two parks - though I think you want to be on the DCA side of the monorail track, and far enough from the track that it doesn't block your view. Another cool place to watch the fireworks from is the top of the Mickey & Friends parking structure. They are actually quite close from there!
