Two weeks ago, there were construction walls that ran from Tomorrowland Terrace to Main Street and then went up Main Street towards the castle. So if you sat at one of the tables along the walkway from the Terrace to MS, there would be no view of the fireworks.

That's the way it's been for a couple months now, at least. I keep monitoring the construction updates but this seems to be very slow in building. The latest pictures show they are still building the expanded walkway. (Photos taken on Oct 29). They haven't touched the landscaping or poured concrete for the new plaza. All their construction seems to have gone into building infrastructure for bridge overpasses and the lagoon. This thing has been going on since last Spring!!!
Goal was to get it done by Christmas week. I'm not holding my breath on that one. Construction gives no one updates on their progress or their ETA. (Just like typical Contractors, they hate to promise something, encounter a problem then have to delay their due date.) I'm surprised they decided to touch this project before January. Usually that's when the moat gets drained and the lagoon area cleaned. So why not just do this big construction then?
You cannot watch fireworks from the Plaza or Casey's or Crystal Palace. The entire area is blocked with HUGE construction walls. You can't even see the Castle. It also creates a huge traffic jam right at the corners on Main Street there. Made it so unsightly I didn't bother watching fireworks from in front of the Castle at all during my October trip.
Your best views are either right on Main Street, or right around the Castle circle. I fear what they will do Christmas week if that construction isn't done. New Year's Eve will be a mess beyond belief.
If you don't mind missing the view of the casttle during Wishes, my kids love watching the fireworks in Fantsayland. The fireworks look much bigger and you are surrounded by them.
Bumping this thread up to see if there are any updates. It sounds like a mess
Will arrive just after Thanksgiving and wondering where the best place to view the castle show and fireworks will be, and wondering if there are any areal shots (Robo?)
Wow! After seeing those walls, I'm definitely going to enjoy attractions during Wishes, then catch it another time after the hub construction is complete next year.
Last Sunday, We stood ON Main Street on the bridge right near Caseys and it was crowded, but we got there about 20 minutes before the show and had a great spot. Everyone stood up when it started so there was that, but we could still easily see the projections on the castle.
