View of WOC & Fireworks from PPH

We will be staying concierge level at Paradise Pier & I am wondering what kind of views, if any, we may be able to get of the WOC show? How about fireworks? Thanks

I have stayed in park view rooms at PPH before, but I don't remember being able to see the fireworks. In fact, I went to pool deck to view them. I would thinkg tha that WOC would be the wrong angle to view much except maybe some of the lights??

We are also staying PPH Concierge but I am going for the cabana room. I suppose if the rooms had a deck and I could sit out there and watch the view, I might prefer that view.

To each there own, right? I will look forward to hearing how it turns out though. Have a great trip.

We stayed PPH concierge in May - we were on the second to the top floor and actually had a fantastic view of WOC, though from the back side. In fact, we were just watching some of the video we took and wowing over it again.

They were doing all the testing at that point, so we saw it over and over again, lol. Of course, I'm sure it was nothing like seeing it from the front, but you could make out The Lion King, Ariel, etc. I took some pictures with my p&s and will try to post tomorrow.

As far as fireworks, they were not running while we were there but we were told by the CMs that if you go to the pool area and walk to the far left (looking at the PPH) area by the snack place, you can see fireworks from there and there is a speaker on the snack building so you can hear too.

We saw fireworks on 4 different occasions back in June - from the 3rd floor patio @ PPH with music pipped in, the dessert seating at F!, on Main Street, and at the Esplanade after WoC. Nothing compares to the view at Main Street, but if you have little ones and need to get them to bed early, the patio @ PPH will do. Go to the 3rd floor and exit through the doors by the elevators. If you are taking the glass elevator, the doors are straight ahead. Take a right and walk to the very end, grab a chair, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show

There are a number of videos on youtube of WoC shot from one of the PPH park view rooms, which should give you a pretty good idea of the view.

OK, here are some pictures. Please keep in mind that 1. they were taken with a little P&S camera, nothing fancy 2. this was during the testing phase while they were still tweaking the show and 3. I kept "just missing" the characters. The actual viewing is much better than the pictures show, but it gives you an idea. Our video turned out better, but I don't know how to capture pictures from it.

This was taken before they added in the color - they were just testing the fountains.

Nemo was just starting to show in this one - I took it a little too soon and couldn't get another shot in time.

What is a cabana room? Never heard of one before.

They are on the same floor as the pool and have a really nice patio area with a gate from your patio to the pool area. If you do a search here on cabana rooms at PPH, there are other threads with pictures. You have to request the room, and it seems *most* people have not been able to get one as there are not many of them - I'm trying to think when we were there - maybe 10?

I thought I would update in case anyone else is wondering about the view of WOC. We were upgraded from a Standard concierge room to a Family Suite with park view & concierge (Room #1222). The view is exactly as shown by the photos from mamax2. Some nights the music was louder, but the view always the same--you could see the fountains but the projections were not clear &/or visible.
