Hiya

Does anyone have the web sites or email addresses for the videographer you've used or have booked. I have seen Stan at STVS but I'm hoping to find someone a bit cheaper. ;)

TIA

I am interested too: (specifically, I am looking for a videographer for just the ceremony). Thanks!!

lurkyloo and i are both using sage with starfruit productions. she is considerably cheaper than stan and is super nice. she has an extensive a la carte menu. look at the samples on her site, they are fantastic!

Yes! Just a note - I looked at her site again the other day, and it says her packages start at $1800. However, we were able to customize a package to our budget for much less. ;)

:scared1: $1800??!! Woooow, I guess videography is way out of our league!

Like Caryn, we are also paying less than half that - don't let the prices on any videographer's site scare you (well, unless they're like thousands and thousands of dollars) - they will almost all work within the budget you give them. :thumbsup2

OK, I just emailed Star Fruit, and they said that anyone who mentions me or Caryn will get a discount on their services. I've never been a coupon before :rotfl:

I hav just watched their demo carrie!! I love it so i emailed them!!

Thanks so much

You know what's crazy? I work in video production right now. I should ask my guys if they want to start doing weddings for freelance work. The amount of money you guys are paying for video is crazy!!! Since I work in video production, I know what it takes and how much all this stuff costs. The main pain in the butt is editing. Everything else is just labor intensive. I actually was looking into someone to shoot my wedding and just giving me raw footage (no editing) since I can edit the video myself. Crazy thing is, I can't find anyone to do it for less than $1000 so I'm just going to have my guys shoot it.

Here's a link to my acting reel http://youtube.com/watch?v=3xuWJKc4ddc they shot most of the videos in there (except the Disney stuff and the thing with Fantasia). they edited it too. If you're interested, we'll chat.

Anyway... just wanted to vent cuz that stuff is way too expensive!!!!

If you saw the volume and length of all the emails, lists and assorted other Bridezilla instructions I've been sending my videographer, you'd agree she's earning every penny! :rotfl:

I just emailed Star Fruit and used you guys as a recommendation.

Can't wait to hear back from them.

Thanks,
Linda

Hello,

Thanks for all your replies I've emailed starfruit productions so hopefully they will be available. Lurkyloo: Do you know what sort of discount we would get? Also I don't know what your name is to quote.

TIA

Lurkyloo - what type of instructions did you give them. I have no clue what to ask for.

Hi! My name is Carrie, and I am a DIS Boards-holic... :rotfl:

Sage didn't say what the discount would be, but really - just tell her what you can afford and what kind of coverage you want, and she will try to customize a package to suit you.

Lurkyloo - what type of instructions did you give them. I have no clue what to ask for.

Let's see - would you like to know what's in my package or what kind of crazy Bridezilla specifics I'm going over with her for the wedding day?

Our package is
5 hours of video coverage
30 editing hours
Rehearsal
Wireless Lapel mic for ceremony and selected speeches
Personal messages
Two Video Artists, two cameras at ceremony
One Video Artist, one camera reception
Full editing, titles
DVD Menu, Case, 3 DVD copies
Raw Footage on Mini DV
Edited Movie on Mini DV

The crazy Bridezilla specifics include an hour-by-hour time line of the day, what's happening, where, and what kind of video coverage I want. I'm also sending 2 CDs of songs I want for the video, along with a chart of the "must play" and "you choose" songs. I think I'm going to make her a pocket-sized version of the schedule too :scared1:

Wow, is all I have to say after going to Starfruits website. I cry at the drop of a hat lately anyway ( always have, not it's rediculous :rotfl: ) But after watching those 2 videos of people I don't even know and crying, they are good !! :goodvibes I wanted video anyway but didn't think it would fit into our budget. But I sent an email, told them I heard about them from you guys and hope we can use them. My fiance's parents are both not healthy, his dad especially, he has ms and is in a bad place right now, and his mom is heartbroken she won't be able to see the wedding. If I could have it videotaped for us, for the kids and for them, it would be really special. I thank you guys again for all the help you have given me and hope this is one more piece of magic :wizard: that you girls have helped me get.

Thanks so much, I am weapy now, I need help :lmao:
