The funny thing is, they're so fascinating to guests but when you're a CM, it's like "meh." Now that I live in the area I have CM friends who work at MK, and it's funny to hear how dull it all seems to them...just another area to trek through to get to work.

If you have comcast go to channel 888 and click on travel the video is there along with a few others, they also show Walt Disneys apt in Disneyland, shame wasnt a live to see WDW :(

We went on the Disneyland Adventures by Disney and got to see Walt's apartment. Amazing! We even were able to have our pictures taken sitting in the livingroom chairs. It gave me a lump in my throat when they explained that Walt always had the lamp in the front window on when he was there, so now it's always left on as a reminder that he's always there.

This is so cool! But I had to stop bc DD came in the room! Can't wait to watch it more later!

Wow that's soooooo cool! I want to have that GIS job! That would be awesome to map out Disney Theme parks!!

Believe me when I tell you that after the first visit it's pretty boring to guests as well. Spend a little time in them and you feel that this is a work place. No frills, just a sensible shoes with very many interesting but unspectacular utilities that make the park run. As I said, interesting the first time, pretty mundane after that.

Heh, you got that right! After working at Disney for over 4 years now, the utilidor has become ho-hum to me (it's a good workout though, getting around down there).

Yes, they aren't that spectacular to us!!!

I worked at Disney for a summer and spent many hours down there. Now when I go I try to forget the "city" under the park. Just kind of spoils the magic.

I liked that kids' answer though ~ little dwarf's digging for gold down there :lmao:

First time I have seen what they look like - do they actually show any of the "rooms"/areas down there when one is on the tour? We almost took the tour a few years ago but I could not get my "older" sons up. Some day.

Barbara did you move to Orlando?
