Disney Gift Card with new AP purchase.

Curious question, my AP is still active for another 2 months. Due to our trip schedules, I had planned to let it lapse and just buy a new one before the next trip instead of renewing (to not lose multiple months of non-use). Can I buy a voucher for a new pass while my current one is still active?

Yes, you can. I did this back in April, when my existing AP was still active.

We literally were just able to do the same. We bought on July 10th so we’re within the grace period. In our case, we were getting bounced around a lot but we were ultimately successful through VIPassholder line (407-939-7277) and then asking for the “Passholder help desk”.

Well ive been on hold for 30 mins now with a cast member at ticketing checking to see if they can give me the gift card. I bought one annual pass 3 weeks ago and one 2 weeks ago. It was a no for the 3 weeks ago one. Did you guys have to wait on hold forever??

Thank you!!! With this trick I was able to get the gift card on the one bought two weeks ago! They're not budging for the three weeks ago, but at least I got one!

Youre welcome! Yes, ask to speak to the vip passholder line like he said and tell them you were told that aps purchased july 1st and after we're being given the grace period for the $75 gift certificate if its Sorcerer, $100 if its incredipass im assuming you got one of those.

You dont get the gc right away they are backed up with requests, I still haven't got mine, but they reassured me i would and I called back and the next agent said she could see the request for it was granted!

If they accept Disney gift cards as payment for that I don't see why not.

Maybe call back again and talk to someone else. Sometimes it's just luck in which CM you speak to (unfortunately).

I was told it would be up to 72 hours, but they came within 2-3 hours after we bought. OTOH, it was the morning they announced the offer, so I expect they hadn’t had as many purchases or as big a backlog of GCs to send out as they have now!

PS I’m really glad they’re allowing the grace period for those of you who bought recently!
