video games fo toddlers?

i wanted to see if i could get some opinions.

does anyone own the vsmile pocket? do you like it? is there something similiar anyone would suggest that they like better?

my daughter has a DS, my 4yo will be getting the DS for xmas. we thought maybe we would look into something for my 3yo.

My DD4 has the Vsmile and the Vsmile pocket. She loves it. I have been very impressed with both units. They have quite a few games for the little ones.

My boys have the V smile pocket and the Leapster. They prefer the games for the V smile, but we have constant problems with them. Both are very sensitive, it seems like if pressure is put on the battery compartment they shut off in the middle of the game. My boys get very frustrated. They will lean it on their lap while playing and it conks out.

We have no problems at all with the Leapsters, but the games aren't quite as good. They do like though.

We bought DS4 Leapster 2 for his birthday. He loves it and we have had no problems-the games adjust to his level-and you can connect online to 'unlock' rewards...it's a great learning tool-

I don't know about the VSmile pocket, DS has the regular VSmile and the Leapster. He got the Leapster last year for Christmas, he was 3 at the time, but didn't really start playing with it consistently until a few months later. I think school helped with that. When he started being able to recognize the letters in the games, that's when it took off. There were times I would have to tell him to take a break because he would play it for so long! He loves it! I can't compare it to the VSmile pocket but I would definitely recommend the Leapster!
