Victoria & Jacks PJ - WP/WR/SC - April 5th 2011 - Update 01/09

We should help each other along :) It's really hard to be motivated sometimes! I try to picture myself in my dress, or listen to Disney music in the gym! It reminds me what I'm working hard for!

Stacey they are soooo just made wrong!! Some shops are stupid, their sizes are all wrong! I would also love to see a size 12 again, so I'll be happy when I meet that!

I have a couple pairs of Miss Sixty jeans and a Miss Sixty skirt that I am just DYING to get back into! I used to love my jeans but now I dread going shopping for them!

Hi Torsie! I don't know how I've missed all your plans up til now! Everything looks great- I love the chocolate lollies you sent with your STD's! That bouquet you posted is beautiful as well... I've seen it on here before but can't remember who's it is... I remember all her floral was beautiful! I can't wait to follow along with all your plans!

I just found your PJ - I LOVE all of the dresses you are looking at - I actually have some of them bookmarked myself! :thumbsup2

I'm trying to lose some weight too and it is brutal! We're going back to WDW in September and I'd like to be 20 pounds lighter and toned by then - I'm not sure if that's possible but I'm giving it my best effort! Changing my diet drastically and *trying* to go to the gym. Good luck with yours - we all should definitely keep each other motivated!! :goodvibes

I've been on a diet for my wedding and here are some tips that have helped:

1. Counting calories. I keep a calendar on the fridge and write down every single thing I eat. It really helps when you reach for something, add it to the running total, and see how close you are to the daily limit you set yourself. It makes you think "is it really worth it?"

2. Sugar-free, low calorie things. Sweets are my downfall. 60 calorie puddings are very tasty. Sugar free jello is only 10 calories. Light yogurt is also great and they have a lot of chocolate/sweet flavored stuff. Diet pop is also good when you have a sweet tooth. The 90 calorie quaker mini delights are also delicious.

3. Gum. Whenever I have a sweet tooth and want to eat ANOTHER pudding or something, I pop in some gum. The calories are negligible and it helps the craving pass before you have more sweets.

4. Weekly weigh-ins. If there is a week you gain or don't lose weight, it will motivate you more during the next week to not cheat. It also keeps you accountable so things don't slip too much before it's too late. I wouldn't weigh yourself more than once a week though. If you start weighing daily then you get into the whole water-weight and daily fluctuations nonsense and it will just depress you.

5. Plan around indulgences. If you know you are going out to eat, don't eat until you go out. Once you start counting calories you will be amazed how horrible 99% of everything is (example, a cinnabon is almost 800 calories:scared1: That's like half your days calories right there). Again, when you go out to eat just think about whether something is really worth it. The restaurant or special food will always be there; you don't need it right now.

6. Join a gym. When you have spent the money you will be more motivated to actually go. Force yourself to work out or go the day after a bad eating day; you will feel less guilty.

7. Rice crackers. They have a lot of different flavors and it will satisfy salt cravings. Much better than eating chips. If you spread fat-free cream cheese on plain rice crackers it doesn't taste bad and it's only like 45-50 calories total.

That's all I can think of right now. Good luck!

Phew, finally caught up again!

I can't believe you've got your coordinator already! I should get my butt into gear, did you call and ask for someone to call you back? I'm too nervous to call, I feel like they're going to tell me not to call back for 6 months or something... :rotfl:

Your plans are coming along really well. I love the Enchanted theme, my favourite song from the movie is the "How does she know" song, I have no idea what it's called...

Hi Ladies! Wow, I can't believe we are all working so similarly to lose weight!

We can totally do it together, and hopefully stay a lot more motivated and have fun and get healthy together! :)

I've made this thread for us. :)

:wave2: Hi! Well done catching up. :)

Definitely call. I thought they'd tell me to call back in a year, but they were super friendly and I was really surprised to get a co-ordinator allocated so fast!

So I Just read all of Leanne's plan for hotels for her wedding trip, and it made me really excited so now I want to have a go too!!

Mine are all kind of rough as we are going to throughly explore all of the deluxes in october and then Jack will choose the honeymoon hotel from there.

But until then this is my plan.

25th Feb 2011 - Arrive in WDW
25th-28th At Poly with my parents
28th- GF with my Mum or BMs
1st - Wedding night at GF
2nd - Free night at GF CL (we may pay the extra for a suite or something)
3rd-11th - Honeymoon - Jacks hotel choice.

I like the look of the GF honeymoon suites, excapet I know the turret ones don't hav a balcony which is a bit of a bummer! I want our wedding night room to have a balcony with a nice view though so we can wake up married and sit on our balcony and jsut enjoy some quiet in the sun together. :)

 Love it! I'm also staying at the GF the night before with the girls or my mum :)

I looooove the Poly! You will love it there, it's so amazing! We got bumped up to concierge as we got engaged and we are so spoilt by it! Haha! Wear a bride t-shirt or something when you check in! ;) They have pulled pork and lilikoi juice on tap in the C.Lounge! Heaven!!

We are staying at the Poly & GF over the wedding as well, then DF's choice for the honeymoon was AKL.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jack chooses AKL, as he's really excited to stay there this time, and it does look wonderful!!

Also we should be able to afford AKL CL for the same price as the other deluxes.

So I was just about to serve our dinner and the phone rang!

And it was our DFTW Wedding Consultant!!

We got Kristi Davis and she is soooo nice! She was so helpful and lovely on the phone. I can't wait to sort out our site visit and everything.

It's not until July that they will be able to book us in, but Kristi was super nice about saying how I can call or e-maile her anytime with questions, (she really laughed when I said I think I have asked every question ever on the DIS!).

Awww, what a nice way to end my day! :cloud9::cutie::cloud9:

I got Kristi too!:goodvibes

So any updates?!?!

Have you been able to try on any of those Maggie Sottero dresses? I'm going to have to make a long weekend trip down to Sydney to try on some of her dresses, but it will be worth it, they're so beautiful! :lovestruc

OK, so I bought a new bride magazine alst week, and saw a few dresses in there I liked, and most of them were by 'Ellis Bridals' who I've never heard of.

I went on their website and Oh My Goodness! They are gorgeous dresses!!!!!!!

AND there's a shop like 15 minutes away that has a huge range of them!!!

OK, so here are the ones I like:

So, as you can see, I am very positive about Ellis bridal!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Oh lovely. I think number 1 is lovely but looks heavy which might not be good in the heat. Number 8 is similar to mine. Will you go and try some on soon?

Oooooo number 1 is nice- I think it would be flattering. I love number 10 thats my fav style of dress.

We have such similar taste i love them all i have that website saved in my favourite and nearly all those dress' saved :D

I like #11..it's different than the others and seems flowy and that would be good int he heat. They really do have beautiful stuff tho!
