we will be going oct 3rd-10th for our honeymoon, and would like to know if Victoria and Alberts is worth the money. My Fiance does not eat red meat and would like to know if they have a set menu or are able to pick your dishes. Any information would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

yes, it is worth the money. fabulous service, fabulous ambience, and wonderfully fabulous food. yes, there is usually a beef, fish, fowl(not necessarily chicken), and lamb to select from. maybe not all of the above but definitely a choice other than beef. be sure to mention it is your honeymoon when you book. and congratulations!!

Its been 8 years since Ihave been to V&A's and I still smile at the memory. Yes! Is is worth it!

When you make your reservation, make sure to mention it is your honeymoon and let the dining room know ASAP that your hubby to be does'nt eat beef.

Also, check to see if you can get the chef's table. You will get ultra personal service!!!

When you make your PS, they'll ask if there are any special dietary needs. Be sure to tell them about the no meat. They will adjust the menu for you. My DH forgot to tell them I don't eat meat when he made our PS for our May trip. All of the entrees that night were some sort of meat. They did make an adjustment for me when we placed our order and made a fish dish.

I think it's worth the $$$--but I'm sure there are those who don't. The ambiance, fine food and wine, impeccable service--all add up to a memorable 2 and 1/2 hours. For a honeymoon dinner I think it would be an extra special treat.
As has been noted, they usually have 4 entree's from which to choose and almost always one is a red meat. The others are fish, fowl, lamb, etc. But if you decide to go, do call ahead and mention about your fiancee and the red meat. And be certain to mention it's your honeymoon!!

100% worth it.

I don't eat red meat, and it was not an issue at all. There is a choice of 2 or 3 things for each course.
