Okay, forgive me all for having a different opinion.....I am truly delighted that someone in this day and age would inquire about and want to have their child with them! I think that is half of the world's problem today....people think of themselves and not their children.

1) Having their children with them is OK.
2) Having children possibly being crying-whining-restless is OK.
3) It is NOT OK if they would bother others.
4) Enjoy your kids, but not at my expense or at my enjoyment.
5) For at least $100 per person, I don't want others to bother our dinner.
6) We have rights, too.
7) One of these is to enjoy an adult dinner in peace and tranquility.

NOE: People are quick to say, "but this is WDW". Maybe, but V&A is also the ONLY Mobile 4-Star restaurant in Central Florida. If it were off site, I am sure the parents would think otherwise. I am GLAD they couldn't get ressies and ended up going elswhere.

I wouldn't chance taking a 12 month old for a 2 1/2 hour dinner. Mine are 2 and 4, and I pray that we can be in and out of a restaurant in 1 hour since I know that's all they will tolerate.

We used the Fairy Godmother's babysitting service while in WDW in August. I believe it was $80 including tip for 4 hours. Well worth the money, and my kids LOVED her. All of the babysitting clubs have a minimum age of 4, I believe.

I would look into a reputable babysitting service rather than chance having an uncomfortable $300 dinner.

The OP stated that she will dine at CG please stop flaming her.

Please please PLEASE don't bring your baby to V&A. Disney is for families, but they also have some places that are just not appropriate for kids. V&A is a very elegant, romantic place and it's just not the place to bring children.

Go and enjoy a lovely, intimate and long dinner with your husband and get some babysitting for your child. Enjoy having some time for just the two of you.

Speaking as a mother and having eaten at V&A it is not really the right atmpshere for a young child, noise carries and it is quiet, which if it were me. would make me very aeware of any noise they made or concer over noise they may make, and take some of the enjoyment out of it.

You guys do realize this thread is like two months old? The OP reconsidered and is dining at CG (at last report).

I had forgotten ALL ABOUT this thread. I didn't realize it was so popular until I looked up my posts by my ID. HOW FUNNY! Thanks to everyone who understands where I was coming from!

We are still going to the CG and are very much looking forward to it. Thanks for all of your input and your well wishes. We have a week and a half to go, YAHOO! :cool1:

Holy crap! You really must have wanted to go BADLY if you considered spending a hundred bucks to take an infant to a restaurant.

I wouldn't say you shouldn't, though. I've been told I was wrong to go there with a group of friends because that sort of group does not belong in a "romantic atmosphere." Heck, I'm just there for the food (okay, and the wine). But, at least, all of us were eating the food we paid for.
