We've got 5:30 reservations for dinner at Victoria & Albert's in January. Will we be done in time to grab the kids from the Mousketeer Club and pop outside to watch the 8:00 Wishes fireworks show? And does anybody know a good location at the GF to watch Wishes from?

Thanks in advance.

DH & I ate at V&A a couple of summers ago and we were there for over three hours. We did the wine pairing with the meal. We were also in no rush.
IMHO I do not know if I would want to plan a meal of that expense($400+) to feel like I had to rush to be out at a certain time.
Personally I like to watch wishes from the pier at the GF.:goodvibes

Certainly we're not planning on rushing it; just wondering how long it would take. Thanks!

Sure. They can no doubt speed up the dinner from the usual three hours. But, why bother then? If you want to be at GF for the fireworks make reservations instead at GF Cafe or Citricos. I would definitely not spend the money at V&A and be rushed. When we eat at V&A we plan absolutely nothing for the rest of the evening. Sometimes when we're at the Chef's Table, Chef Hunnel has asked us whether we have something else we need to get to that evening. We always say definitely no. This is our entertainment for the evening!

Glad to hear!!!! If I were you I would fully enjoy my meal and then if you found that you had the time pick the kids up and go and enjoy wishes.(Or after such a romantic dinner the two of you could watch wishes and then you could pick up the children;) )
It is still one of the most memorable meals (experiences) I have ever had.:goodvibes

You may just be done in time to watch Wishes yourself as a couple, but I wouldn't count on that.

You definitely wouldn't have time time to get the kids, because you'll be done at 8pm at the absolute earliest.

For most people dining at V&A runs about 2¼ - 2½ hours. So unless you are going to linger over wine or coffee you should easily be out by 8:00.

Also, you might want to mention to your servers that you have kids at the club and want to be out so you can pick them up to see Wishes! They may be able to pace your meal to be a little faster than normal.

And the best spot is to go down to the Shuttle Boat Pier or the area outside Narcoossee's.

I don't think you will be out of there in time....V&A's is easily 3 plus hours for dinner.

You can watch the fireworks from the Marina. Skip V&A's, make it for another night.

Our meals at V&A usually last on the order of 2 and 1/2 hours--sometimes a tad longer.

I think you'll be fine as long as you don't start with a cocktail or linger too long over coffee and dessert.

Wishes is great from the pier by Narcoossee's but the marina area is also great location to view it. The door to the Mousketeer Club opens to that area which will make picking your children up very easy.

Bon apetit.
