Ok guys... what do you guys think of Via Napoli? Would it be a good place for 8 people? Tell me what you think and what you suggest! Any pics would be great! Thanks! :thumbsup2

There are some reviews of Via Napoli in the dining reports section - you might find some of those helpful :)

After reading several reviews re changes since it was Alfredo's, I took a shot and had a fantastic lunch with excellent wine choices. It's not cheap but it is good. Food was well prepared and tasty. Pasta was done perfectly.:)

We just ate at Via Napoli in January 2011. The food was quite good and the restaurant is ideal for large and small groups. The layout is different from some other Disney restaurants - very open with high ceilings. There are round tables that can accommodate up to 10 people and there are also long tables.

The menu is different from Tutto, more "casual" with pizzas, salads and pasta. We were really impressed by the server (from Sicily) and the entire experience. We would go back again, probably in May.

sjpvac - FYI - Alfredo's became Tutto Italia

We also tried Via Napolli in January 2011 and LOVED it, we always get the deluxe dinning plan and eat at a lot of signature resturants. Via Napolli was excellent we had a party of 6, 3 couples, we will absolutly go back in September. 5 of us had pizza which was great and my dad had chicken with their mac n cheese and it was amazing for appitizers we had calamari, fried veggies, fried risoto balls sooooo good and the sampler platter. Everything was so flavorful and cooked perfectly. If you have any questions I would be more than happy to answer. The building itself was beautiful they do have a community table for people without reservations but I would not go to almost any diney resturant without ressies. The resturant had plenty of room we are all big people and had tons of room to feel comfortable. Have a wonderful vacation.

I would say if everyone likes pizza, yes. Otherwise stay away. It was BY FAR the worst meal on our last trip of 16 TS meals. Pizza was decent, everything else was pretty bad. Tutto Italia is much, much better.

We ate there in December and loved it! We lived in Italy for a few months and it's the closest we've come to finding authentic Italian pizza. We were able to share 2 large (forget what they were called- not the super huge ones) pizzas and calamari and had plenty for 6 people (2 were kids). We actually didn't even have room for dessert. I'd definitely go back!

DH and I had lunch at Via Napoli in December and we LOVED it. We both thought it was the best meal of our trip. Service was excellent - our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. He talked to us quite a bit about the differences in American & traditional Italian pizza.

The inside of the restaurant was beautiful, very open and light. We did not have reservations, so we ended up sitting at the long community table in the middle of the restaurant. We had a good seat to watch the kitchen and admire the wood ovens.

We were on the deluxe dining plan. For appetizers, I had Gamberetti Fagioli, which was a cold shrimp & cannellini bean salad. It was fabulous.... simple, yet great flavor and very fresh. DH had Arancini (fried risotto balls), which were really good, although a bit heavy. We both had individual pizzas. I had Pepperoni and he had the Quattro Stagioni. The pizzas were great, much different than the usual American pizzas. For dessert, we shared the Zeppole, which were also really good. We rolled out of there, stuffed and very happy with the experience.

Click on my Nov 2010 thread for pictures from the THREE meals we ate there...DH loved it so much he wanted to eat there every single day

We had dinner last month and it was pretty good. My son got the pepperoni pizza and my husband and I shared a mushroom pizza. The desserts were pretty good too, although I can't remember what we ordered.
VERY attentive wait staff. It was a little loud, but it's disney.

We really like this place. We went in November with 7 and in January with 3. We liked it both times. It has one of my favorite desserts of all Disney World. It's this sundae type thing with cherries and 2 cookies in it.

Via Napoli does not occupy the space formerly held by Alfredo's. That would be Tutto Italia. Via Napoli is located in a new space. We ate at VN in January and thought it was good, not great.

Ok! Thanks guys! I think we may give it a try! I believe its not included on the dining plan is it?

Could 2 adults share one of the individual pizzas if we were planning on splitting an appetizer and a dessert? Some of the pictures make the pizza's seem huge!

Just ate there this past Tuesday for lunch, and the food was delicious! DH had an individual prosciutto y melone pizza, and I had the chicken parmigiana. We were on the DxDDP (yes, VN is on the plan), so we had appetizers and desserts, too. Everything was perfect! I've heard mixed reviews here on the DIS, but we had a wonderful time!

We were there this past October and myself, DW, DS and DD all enjoyed it. We all had pizza and while it may not be the best in the world it is the best in WDW. We would and will go again.

How does that work if you get a pizza? Other than the individual? Can you get the larger pizzas?
