via napoli pizza how is it?

My wife and I had the pizza at Via Napoli and it was wonderful. On the expensive side of things but very, very good.

Thanks, we are on the free diningplan so I thought I would give it a try. Not sure if this is a good use of the diningplan though.

I could see maybe it's not the best value you are going to get with the dining place, but we dined at VN this past June and it was one of our favorite meals of our whole trip. It wasn't totally about the pizza, but the entire experience. The restaurant and staff were very charming, and I loved the white sangria! We sat in the patio, which is an enclosed room with lots of windows. It was just a nice experience.

My wife and I liked it quite well. Visited a few times last year. The family style house salad to start with and a margherita or funghi pizza, a La Rossa, and the Zeppole di Caterina dessert makes a nice meal IMHO. I felt no need to go any deeper into the menu than that. I enjoy the atmosphere as well. :thumbsup2

Everything I have heard is very positive. I wasn't planning on eating there this coming week, but actually had to make a reservation after seeing pictures and reading reviews about it. I hope everyone is right.

This place is a new favorite for us. We've been 3x and had the pizza twice. It's probably the best pizza I've ever had!! Love it there!! I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We didn't like it. My DD ordered the kid's pizza, she didn't like & wouldn't eat it. I tasted it & didn't like it either, the toppings were watery. My DH ordered the spaghetti & didn't like. He said it was very bland & really needed seasoning. He also didn't eat his food. I order the Mezze Rigatoni alla Creme con Pollo, I also didn't like it. It was flavorless, there wasn't even any salt in it, & the chicken was kind of nasty. I didn't eat mine either. Our server was mostly absent & not friendly. I know we're in the minority & maybe it was an off night for them. But considering the cost of the dishes ($25 a dish), I'm not willing to try again.

The pizza is excellent! It is more typical of the pizza served in Italy, very thin crust and chewy. It is our MUST reservation every trip. Enjoy!

AGREE! We just returned from our trip.:( But made sure to eat at Via Napoli. Best pizza ever! Excellent service. Makes me extra proud of my Italian heritage! Don't miss it!

I did the same thing today for our trip next month :thumbsup2

Quite simply put, it's the best pizza I have ever had. And I'm a pizza junkie.

No exaggeration - On our trip last month, we ate there 5 times.

It is delicious thin crust wood fired pizza. It also has great appetizers - arancini or the fritto misto platter and one of the best desserts in DW - the Coppa di Brutti Ma Buoni (Ugly, but Good Sundae).

One thing to note since you are on the dining plan is Via Napoli is very strict so if you want to order pizza you can only order the individual size pizza when using dining credits. Also, you cannot share so you cannot use 1 credit to feed 2 people.

We usually pay OOP since an appetizer, an individual size pizza and our own desserts (not sharing the sundae :rotfl:) is enough for two of us.

Just booked it tonight for our visit next month because of what people had to say about it. Looking forward to it.:)

We eat here for the pizza every trip. We get a large pepperoni pizza. Yum! I drool thinking about it! Sometimes DH gets a salad. I always get the ugly but good dessert with a side of chocolate sauce. Never had a bad meal. Service is hit or miss. Not horrible but I find the overall attitude of the servers here can be very aloof.

Not sure I would say best pizza ever but real real good. Certainly the best I ever had in Florida. It is a thin crust not a flatbread but very thin crust pizza. Had the Quattro Formaggi pizza (hope I spelled that right). Only thing it could have used was a bit of char from the brick oven. Would look forward to having it again with some pepperoni on it. Daughter had Margarita and it too was very good. However sauce was real tomato sauce not the sweetened stuff used in most pizza places so just be aware it will taste a bit different form your local pizza shop.

Reccomend and will return.

Forgot and wanted to mention we had a great waitress, she was actually from Naples and was excellent as we're the other servers!!!
