Hi everyone !!!! I need some helping in picking between Via Napoli or Il Mulino. It will be 6 adults. We are taking family members that have never been to Disney. My DH and I ate at Via Napoli lasy May and liked it. We only got the pizza so I am not sure about anything else on the menu. We have never been to Il Mulino but would love to try it. The only time that I could get at Via Napoli is 4:30 which is early. I can get a later reservation at Il Mulino. We will be going to Epcot after dinner to watch Illuminations. Which one has better food?

Thanks !!!!!

Are you on the dining plan? If so, that probably makes the decision easier as Il Mulino doesn't take the dining plan. If you aren't, however, I would go to Il Mulino for the following reasons:

  • Getting out of the parks for a bit is nice
  • You can stop at Bluezoo before (or after) dinner for drinks, they have a great bar/lounge
  • You can get a $25 gift certificate at restaurant.com for $2
  • The atmosphere will probably be quiet, more adult than an in-park restaurant right at dinner time
  • 4:30 (IMO) is a bit early for dinner, especially if you are planning to hang around and watch Illuminations afterwards
  • The food is great at the Il Mulinos I have been to (won't be to the one in Orlando until February)
  • You get free limoncello (sp?) at the end of the meal

We love them both so you really cannot go wrong with either...Il Mulino has a much larger menu with pasta, pizza, chicken fish and beef. You also get a free glass of limoncello at the end of your meal :thumbsup2

Via Napoli is good for a pizza type dinner, but it was loud int here when we went. Il Mulino is SO yummy and it is an upscale restaurant so more quiet and not so crowded.

If you only want pizza, Via Napoli will be fine. If you want other options besides pizza, go with Il Mulino.

We are not on the dinning plan but I do have the TIW card. Thanks for the info about restaurants.com. I will definitely do that.
Glad to hear that many people like Il Mulino.
Love the thought of getting lemoncello after dinner - Yum Yum !!!!!

Thanks everyone !!!!!!

Il Mulino! All the way! My favorite place to eat in all of WDW. The limoncello rocks, it's ladeled out of a cool looking bucket!

Thanks everyone !!!!!
I just went on restaurants.com and got a $25 gift certificate for only $2.:banana::banana:
I also noticed that Illuminations is at 10:00pm that night so if we eat at 4:30 we will have a lot of time to kill. They must be late due to the holiday weekend and the end of food and wine festival.

Can you combine the TIW discount plus use the Restaurants.com coupon? I always thought it was one or the other. If both can be used at one meal, I'm buying a coupon!

You are correct it is one or the other, not both discounts.

You mentioned the $2 discount coupon...I've always worried they weren't legit...so they are, no problems using those $2 for $25 things?

Thanks so much!

We used the Restaurant.com $25 cert at the end of August with no problems. Wait until they have an 80% off sale code (they do monthly) to buy the cert for $2, it's usually $10. Just review the restrictions. Ours had be a minimum of two entrees and not valid during special events. Don't know what they considerd a special event though.

Of course I always ask about any cert at the restaurant on the day I want to use it, and I present it to the waiter first in case there are any other restrictions.

This was my first time ordering from restaurants.com. I have friends that have used them and they have had no problems. I figure that it only cost me $2.00. I called first and they told me that there is no expiration date on them. I also have the TIW card but I can only use one. I will have to figure out which one has the better savings.
Does anyone else have any reviews on il Mulino?
Thansks again everyone !!!!!!
