Via Napoli at Epcot worth it?

Maybe not daily, but I think of it quite often :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We ordered the Margherita pizza that was so large it came out on a cart.
And there was nothing left when we were done!
(Have you seen how big the pizza is on the cart???)

Sigh......I have to wait until November to go back.

It is fantastic! We had a great meal there and can't wait to go back.

The pizza was wonderful and my son enjoyed the spaghetti.
The desserts were good too. My favorite was the cheese fritters but the apple cake was a hit as well.

which DD and I tried last year (she liked it, I did not. My taste in pizza runs toward the Greek variety (and I'm Italian :confused3) - thicker crust, richer sauce) What else is good there? DD has requested a return trip and I need something to order. Looking at the parmigiana's - chicken, eggplant, veal - so is the veal "real" veal or a veal patty? I LOVE eggplant parm but have not had good luck ordering it out as the eggplant tends to be undercooked - hard & rubbery & there is nothing worse than biting into rubbery eggplant. So, any opinions?

Is it like American pizza or more the real italian type?

It's like real italian pizza, you're going to get a whole pie, no slices here! I'm from New Jersey and lived in Rome for a few months while studying abroad so I am EXTREMELY picky about my pizza. The pizza here is fantastic, I thought I was back in Italy. I've heard that they ship water in from Naples so the crust is more authentic when making it. Whatever they're doing, it's working!

is a reservation necessary? or can you just walk up? I can't plan my dining 6 months out

That's what our waiter told us!

We had ADRS, but there were some people waiting in line to try and get it. No idea how long it took though.

FWIW, we only planned ours a month or so out.

I have an adr for Via Napoli next month and I was considering dropping it. Thanks for changing my mind guys!

I like Wolfgang Pucks pizza, is it similar, better and is there good flavor to it, hate a bland pizzia... curious...

This post is making me consider changing my ADR from Rose and Crown! If I was sure that the crust was dairy/egg free, I think I almost definitely would.

I ate there for the first time back in June and I really enjoyed it! The food was really good and the atmosphere was amazing. :goodvibes

Cool. I am from NJ too and nj and ny have the best pizza in the states.

We will have to check it out.

I loved it. I had pepperoni pizza and the ricotta fritters for dessert, and the boyf had the candele and tiramisu. We definitely enjoyed it.

Someone must have eaten something besides pizza!!! What else is good?

I'll never understand why people keep trying to compare this to New York pizza. It's nothing like it, nor is it trying to be like it. I like New York style pizza, been to NYC many times, but this isn't a true comparison.:confused3

The pizza is very close to the style you would actually get in Naples. Now either you like that or you don't.

My whole Italian family did! Very picky, all pleasantly surprised.

My pizza had prosciutto on it, sooooo good.

We will be going back on the next trip.:)

I don't think the NY pizza posters were trying to compare, I think what they are saying is when you are as spoiled as we are by pizza in NY, why get pizza anywhere else and just be disappointed. If you're from NY and travel to Chicago, you aren't ordering pizza. and vise versa. I think the same applies here.

As far as needing an ADR, I think it's still new enough where it's not overly popular. I am going at the end of September and have changed my ADR time and day twice here with no problem. If you're going during a busy time and really want to try it, you should make an ADR just to be safe.

In our opinion, worth it.

We had lunch there and loved it. The food was delicious, atmostphere was charming and found it easy. Didn't find it expensive.

Our DH and I shared a salad and pizza. My DS5 wasn't in the mood for pizza so we got him something else.

We would eat there again.

I think it's always worth trying a place once. I'd love to hear more reviews though. I love all italian food.
