Via Napoli at Epcot worth it?

I have a mixed opinion. I had the white pizza with artichoke and several cheeses and I enjoyed it. However, my husband had a bowl of pasta and meatballs for $22 and it was the same amount of pasta that our kids had off the kids menu that cost $9. As DVC members, we cannot get free dining so we had to pay. I guess it wouldn't have bothered him so much if it were a free dining meal. He said we will never go again.

We used to love Alfredo's (where Tutto Italia is now) so maybe he was just upset that it wasn't the same.

We have been there 4 times, just once was the pizza so so...the other times the pizza and pasta were fantastic

Just went for the first time last week and loved it....

The pizza is think crust and so yummy...A small, individual pie is large and very filling but so good that we wanted to eat the whole thing anyway...The atmosphere is really nice...Feels like "outside Italian dining"...And the service was excellent...

We will go back for sure :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I'm always amazed at the rave reviews that this place gets. It's crowded, it's expensive for what you get, and the pizza is mediocre at best. I've dined here twice and am not rushing back. :confused3

Admittedly, I am spoiled with very good NY pizza where I live... (and any NY'er I've spoken to agrees, Via Napoli is just so-so)

This is what scares me about going to Via Napoli. I live on Long Island so Im very scared I will not like the pizza at all. Im totally up for variety, and I do actually like some very thin pizzas from Italian Deli's around here. But buying pizza and bagels any where else but NY is always making a gamble. I am hoping I like this pizza better then the pizza that they have in the foodcourts etc.

Really looking forward to trying Napoli. Are the smaller pizzas, or any pizza..on the regular dining plan?

ANy reviews on this new italian place????

DH and I LOVED IT. Follow the link in my sig to combined PTR/TR. There's a link at the top that will send you to the update I just posted- it's about our day in Epcot. Review of VN, with lots of pictures. :)
The pizza I tried (2 pieces of 2 diff ones.) were so good. Loved the crust/sauce. The table next to us was raving about their pizza as well. :)

I love Via Napoli. We ate there 3 times our last trip. My favorites are the candele pasta and the pepperoni pizza. I love the zeppoles for desssert. The restaurant is so pretty and really great servers.
I had the candele! Mmm.

Haven't tried the pizza YET, but the regular entrees were the pits... The Tiramisu was amazing though.

LOVED the tiramisu!

Via Napoli is our favorite restaurant in all of EPCOT. We like the Margherita pizza that is so large it comes out on a cart! (Yes, there was 3 of us and we ate the WHOLE thing! we went back 2 nights later and had it again!)

We have been numerous times and every time it has been great. Food, service, atmosphere was all superb.

Dining reviews are always tricky-I always try to form my own opinion about a particular restaurant. Sadly, I hear many folks say they won't try a place because so and so on the DIS (or wherever) doesn't like it.

100% agree!

I'll never understand why people keep trying to compare this to New York pizza. It's nothing like it, nor is it trying to be like it. I like New York style pizza, been to NYC many times, but this isn't a true comparison.:confused3

The pizza is very close to the style you would actually get in Naples. Now either you like that or you don't.

My whole Italian family did! Very picky, all pleasantly surprised.

My pizza had prosciutto on it, sooooo good.

We will be going back on the next trip.:)

Where is this located? I saw a previous post saying that the other new restaurant was where Alfredo's was.
