Via Napoli and DDP

I was just wondering what you get at via napoli on the DDP, I'm assuming it's the individual size pizza but can you do create your own or could you add an extra topping onto one of the pizzas from the menu.
We're using extra TS credits as DS only just turned 10 and has neither the taste buds or the appetite for the adult choices so will be paying for child's meal OOP (other than buffets of course) and using his credits for extra meals between me and DH. We still may have to pay for a TS so thinking it will be here or sci fi diner as these seen to be cheapest but I have heard via Napoli can be awkward. Would they serve a child's meal to a 10 year old or would I be able to get an adult pizza between DS and DD who is 6 but will probably have used all her TS credits by then. I have to book this weekend and an desperately trying to make all the choices ( still trying to choose 2 out of via Napoli, chefs de France or garden grill) and doing the maths to see if our TS credits work out.

Via Napoli does not allow sharing credits.

You likely won't be able to split a pizza. VN allows dining plan guests to order individual pizzas only. You also won't be able to split a pizza with your kid. If you don't have enough credits for each of you, you'll need to pay for meals for those who don't have credits. They won't let you share your DDP pizza with them.

DDP can order a plain individual pizza or any of the specialty pizzas, but as for the add your own toppings - the toppings are extra.

They might serve a child's meal to a 10 year old if you are paying for the meal but they may not if you are paying for the meal with DDP. They are very strict with DDP.

Thanks Makira, if I was paying OOP for an individual pizza would they allow 2 children to share it? If not and they didn't let us get a kids pizza for son we would just have to get an adult one and box the rest for breakfast!
Are they really fussy about making changes to their pizzas in general as although I love pizza not keen on cheese so tend to get mine with only a little bit of cheese on.

Via Napoli is a great place to pay OOP. They don't care if you share, switch, or do a cart wheel if you're paying OOP, so it can be relatively cheap to eat here.

I would not combine DDP with OOP at Via Napoli because it's just too complicated. So if you don't have credits for everyone, I'd skip it entirely or plan to pay OOP.

The reason has been given that the restaurants get a certain amount of credit for every DDP credit, and VN is one of those places where they will NOT budge on what is allowed.

Thanks Sharon, the trouble is even if we use TS credits for both the adults our DS will be paid for OOP as we're using his TS between us as I just don't think it's worth him having adult meals and at most of the places he wouldn't choose any of the adult meals.
I'm getting so confused trying to decide where to book for Epcot and where to pay OOP, keep counting again and again.
