Just came back from our week vacation. Sept 27 to Oct 4th. All great until we went to Italy for supper. Horrible service. My daughter didn't want pizza and asked for pasta, which was on the menu. Waiter told us, he doesn't recommend the pasta, it comes from a different kitchen. Well,we should have took his word, cause it was nasty. Under cooked and no taste. The pizza which he raved about was no better. Taste of food is subjective, so that is fine. But the staff was not friendly also. Took over 2 hours for our meal. Table beside us, sat after us. They were gone and the table was cleared and we were still there. I am sure that some people love this place, but for us it was not good.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good experience! I think all of the restaurants here are hit or miss. We were there on the 29th of September and had an amazing experience and fantastic service. Our waitress was just adorable. My son got the pasta and I'll agree it was al dente but we prefer it that way. I had the pizza and loved it, but like you said - taste is subjective. That's so disappointing you had poor service though b/c this place was where we had some of the best service! We were there celebrating my sons fourth birthday but past day 1 he didn't wear his button. But here they asked if we were celebrating anything, and we said that we had come for his birthday but it had passed. They brought him a cookie dessert and made a big deal and sang for him, which he loved. Our drinks were always full and it was truly just a fantastic experience.

It's a shame you had poor service, because I know that sometimes it's hard to try a place again when you have a bad experience, especially because there are so many options!

For us Tusker House was one I was looking forward to and then was disappointed, and we won't likely go back. But others love it.

I hope you had great dinners other places!

I think the pp it correct. All restaurants are hit or miss and very subjective. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. However, we had an amazing experience at Via Napoli in August. We did get the pizza and it was delicious. I'm a bit of a pizza snob and was ready to be underwhelmed, but it really was good. Our waitress was lovely and brought special birthday desserts for my daughters. A group of servers came over to sing Happy Birthday to them in Italian. All in all, the best dinner we had during our trip.

Totally agree with you all. I had high hopes for this restaurant. I normally love pizza, lol. They must have been on a off day. Noticed the manager was hovering over the staff a lot that evening, so maybe they were nervous or stressed. So many awesome places to eat at Disney, might not return to this one. But at least we gave it a try.

We had a similar poor experience when we went in August. The service was horrendously awful, so rushed and unorganized, it's hard to even know where to start with listing what was wrong with it. The staff all looked terrified of the floor supervisor who spent so much time being angry with them, it distracted them even more from their tables. The table next to us left before they even got a chance to order. I toughed it out because I had read so many good things about the pizze, but final straw was when I got up to take my son to the bathroom (just the 2 of us) and came back and they had completely cleared our table including our drinks even though we had not yet gotten the dessert we ordered or settled our bill. And when we did come back and they apologized, they made no effort to replace our drinks, I actually had to ask. Ridiculous. As for the pizza, it was good, but certainly not something that is worth the raving that I had read about, it wasn't *that* good. And certainly not good enough to make up for the terrible service.

Sorry you guys had a bad experience.

Maybe, for us, it was due to going to Disney during the off season but the two times we went the service was great. I found the pizza to be wonderful better than most pizza in or outside of Disney. Though I do know that brick oven pizza has a different taste and texture to most everyday pizza.
