We are eligible to do online check in for our 2 night stay in Sept. We have booked a one bedroom standard view. If I want a "better" standard view, am I better choosing an upper floor and what else? - near elevator? - near lobby? Thanks for any help.

Not knowing what you consider better, I don't know how to answer your question.

The resort is so small, being close to elevator or lobby isn't an issue.

I would request far from elevator, those rooms would have better views. The rooms with the roof views are close to the elevator.

Thank you, Debbie! I've seen some pictures of standard views that are actually very nice. It's the roof views I'd prefer to avoid.

Do all standard studio rooms have a view of the monorail? We have a studio booked and I know my kids would enjoy seeing the monorail go by.

All Standard View villas at VGF will give you at least a glimpse of the monorail. The trick is that some villas will offer you a much better view. I suggest you look at the VGF Villas and Views thread and check out the photos posted by guests who have stayed at VGF. Post #1 has a layout of the villas and Post #2 has links to the photos showing the views from some of the villas.

Thank you! We are new to DVC and I want to put in a room request that doesn't sound too extreme. I have looked through the thread but will look again. All I'd really hope to avoid is the view of the roof! :)
