Approaching the time for a room request for our family's upcoming stay at VGF. We're in a two bedroom standard (very excited about it). I've seen some pictures of standards that have a partial view of the fireworks at night and was wondering what the right language is in order to request a room that view them. If anyone has had any luck with a 2 bedroom standard at VGF that views the fireworks I'd love to know what you asked for in the request!

Tough one since VGF doesn't have a listed fireworks view, but you can request it. What you don't want is a room on the front side of the building which is a view of the parking lot and senses spa. A high floor would also help.

Perhaps it would help to find a room number that has a view and request that particular room?

The room assigner doesn't know why you wanted that room and the odds of it being vacant for your dates are lotto odds. In addition, the room assigners are not necessarily familiar with the resort or views from each room other than what someone put in a list. At BLT our room was the complete opposite of what we wanted. When I got the room assigner to come from the back room, they mentioned that they had never been in the BLT building.

We were in a standard view one bedroom 1409 and had a great view of the fireworks from the balcony anything on that side of the building on a higher floor and you should be fine.

I would ask for an upper floor with view of the Grand Floridian Hotel main lobby building.

Wrong
. The worst thing you can do is request a specific room number. The room assigner has No Idea why you asked for that room. In a DVC Timeshare Villa, designed for 95% or greater occupancy, it is likely that that exact Villa is not available.

Don't limit yourself to one room number, but you can request a room ending in 25, 7, or 13 on as high of a floor as possible.

You want one of the Y rooms, high up. Due to the orientation of the building (The Zs kind of point toward space mountain) they block the view of the X rooms next to the Y rooms, and the Z rooms (on the left) face the Polynesian more.

You may get lucky, but I would plan on going outside or over to TWL for fireworks.

the End studio is room XX14
the one bedroom next to it is XX16

xx14 and xx16 are lake view studio and one bedroom. The OP said that they had a standard view 2 bd. Those would be on the other side of the building.
