VGF, 1st Week of December, Clickety Click Click

Who was successful this morning in changing over to VGF? Not me. Ok, I got 1 night. I shouldn't complain....well I did swap AKV Club for this and now I'm missing the night of Dec 2nd.

I clicked right at 8am and Dec 2nd disappeared before my eyes (I'm guessing there were more studios avail for Dec 1st).

I still have to wait a few days before I can try to book. I am hoping for some pixie dust.

I got nothing. Wanted 11/30 - 12/2. December 1 was available on 8/1, just before 8 am, but not when I pushed to book. Decided to leave my waitlist in place & see what happens (did that on 7/30 for for 11/30 - 12/2) .

But I am happy to already have BLT for those two nights (rec'd via waitlist a few weeks ago), so if the VGF fairy does not grant my waitlist, I will be just fine. Looking forward to taking the monorail around to see all the Holiday decorations.

Tried to switch my Dec 14 trip to VGF and no availability. But I just got 4 nights at the 7 month window for March 23... super excited as I toured the rooms 2 weeks ago. Oh MY! THEY are AWESOME!

I started trying on Aug 7th for one or two nights for Dec 7 & 8. I've been totally shut out. Not really surprised.

I had 2 active waitlists but 1 expired a couple of days ago so I got on the waitlist for Dec 7. If a miracle occurs and it comes through I'll do another waitlist for the 8th.

In the end, I was able to change half my stay to VGF. The first 4 days (Dec 4-8) we will still be at BCV, with VGF wait listed. Then we move to VGF for the last 4 days (Dec 8-12). We'll be in a standard view one bedroom!

I had been watching the availability for days and I knew those last 4 days kept staying open. On the morning of 4 mo. window, I was on line at 7:55 and kept refreshing until it opened up at 8. I jumped on it fast!

I had no problems booking a VGF 1 bdrm for 1/21/14 to 1/25/14 several weeks ago....actually I originally booked 1/14 to 1/18...and then we realized DH couldn't be away that week due to work commitments.....so a few days after booking changed to the following week. The pictures I've seen online look fabulous. I'm just keeping fingers crossed weather is cooperative...the last few times we've gone in January it's been during a cold spell......not much fun for hanging out by the pool!

We snagged a 2 BR for 1/20-1/26 probably 3 weeks ago. To say I am extremely excited would be an understatement!
