Quick question, does anyone know if you can get your room decorated for a birthday celebration when staying using points or is it only available for those paying rack rates.

I would think that DVC reservations would be treated like other reservations for guests, and that you could let them know you have a birthday celebration during your stay. Would you want to order anything special like a cake or balloon bouquet that would cost extra? When will you be going to VGC? We are going in June and could ask...

I would like to do balloons or decorate the room, we want to get a cake too but I can get that delivered to where we are dining. Thanks for the offer to ask but thats when we will be there too!!! We will be there June 24 - June 30 in a one bedroom, when are you there? We have never been to this resort (we went to DL 13 years ago for our honeymoon but only spent a couple days and were offsite), so I am so looing forward to this trip with our children.

Sounds wonderful! I have always wanted to have our room decorated. I am sure that the concierge can help! We are going the weekend before you, also in a one bedroom. I only have two nights and am waitlisting the third. We have stayed at the Grand Californian before in 2005 with our two kids, but haven't been back. So excited to stay in the VGC !

Found this out on accident, I was trying to purchase a dining plan for Disneyland and was referred to Disney Vacation Planning and although you can not get the dining plan, they will provide the type of services you are looking for. Sorry I do not have the direct number for vacation planning, I was transferred by disney dining.
