VGC points

Since our previous poll regarding points at the VGC looked at how many you own, I thought it would be interesting to see who has what they want point wise and who wants more.

I currently do not own at the VGC but if we were DINKS like when we bought SSR I would snatch up 200-225 points in a jiffy!!! Although if the DLH DVC rumors become a reality I would be just as happy there, especially if the points per night are less. I just want to own at Dland!!!

DH and I already have points at VGC and we want more. lol! We are currently waitlisted for more points. We visit DLand quite often, though. We are also anxiously awaiting Aulani, though, since I enjoy vacationing in Hawaii.

I already have points at VGC but I would definitely want more, I went through all my points on just 2 trips to DL. Now if they did happen to open up DLH for ownership I would definitely want to get some there also.

We are doing paperwork for our recent add on bringing our VGC total to 450. That said, we would like more in the future.
I find the quality of the villas, customer service, and Disney tradition in general to be superior at DLR vs WDW.

I think we are good with our 100 points at VGC. As a Florida boy, I am a WDW fan, while DW is from the Northwest and went to DL as a youngster. So, we added 100 VGC (hers) and 100 BLT (mine) to our SSR (neutral ground). This way we can rotate through each every 3 years.

We have 200 BWV points and just added on 165 VGC points. That should be plenty for us to vacation on both coasts for years to come.

We have 100pt and have been tempted to add on 25-50 a few times, but with 225 at SSR we have enough for the next 50 years. I'm hoping we can use those SSR points every few years at Aulani. If not, we might have to add on more at VGC or Aulani at some point...

I don't think I could ever have enough VGC points! We currently are at 280 points and I'm suppose to behave...no more add-ons for a while.

VGC is my FAVORITE DVC RESORT!!!

IT would be fun, but I doubt we'll ever buy any points there.

It is interesting that most don't see the east coast vs west coast thing. I have known about DVC for years but would never buy in Disneyworld. Been there several times but go to Disneyland once to twice a year, now three times a year. There is only one Disneyland.

I am hoping my 370 point suffice, maybe, really maybe, I would use points in Disneyworld. Don't get me wrong, I like to travel, been to China, South America, Egypt, Europe, etc and in the motorhome around most of the western US. I don't think the east coast people get the Disneyland connection for the majority of buyers.

I'm guessing I don't get the connection either ... and I'm on the West Coast?

Our DVC points are in Florida and are used, primarily, at WDW resorts. I might like to have points at VGC -- but buying there makes zero sense to me as our DLR trips are planned hours to weeks in advance (not 7-11 months!).
