Saw a post on the DVC Fan Facebook about someone calling out the broker on this listed contract being way to low.

Whats shocking it people defending the broker adding in all this made up additional context to try and make it make sense.

Good for a buyer bad for the seller.

It is a reminder to everyone though to always check the value yourself and set your own price. Which is why the broker is only important for the volume of page visits as they are just the marketing nothing else.

So true. They could’ve got $60pp over what they asked since it’s become a sellers market for VGC points. Sellers set their price and people seems to be buying in minutes. The VGC contract for $335 isn’t posted anymore. not many people know about the boards and the ROFR thread which creates knowledgeable buyers and sellers.

For all we know, that seller wanted a quick sale, didn’t care about the price, or wanted to sell low to give someone an awesome deal.

Lots of posts here in the past few months about brokers not being willing to guide sellers lower and in this case, sounds like the opposite,

But, I agree that anyone buying and selling needs to decide what they feel is a fair value and go from there.

You know it! And then... done! haha. You?
I love it! Lucky you!

I decided not to buy VDH once I saw that they were mostly studios (don't work for our family), and am currently waiting for ROFR right now for a second Aulani account. I'm sad to not buy in at Disneyland somewhere, but more Aulani points is a good consolation prize. I will, however, remain a lowly resale member for the time being.
